They are not the strongest 1/2 ton transmission but they work. They have been put in Corvettes, Camaros, Vans and Silverados. Tire Retread

Picked up a couple rolls of expired tire retread. Used a few wider sections on my snowmobile trailer to ease getting on and off. Some other good uses seem outside stairs for a non slip surface. Anyone think of other uses?

I had to get a new rear caliper for the driver's side. It was pretty frozen. Cheap, under $50 for a rebuilt. Pretty easy job too. Did a rear brake job as well while I was at it. Now the parking brake barely... brakes. Still keeps it in place though.

Painted and installed with color match paint from NAPA. Some good sanding and prepwork was necessary as well as a good primer as it did not come preprimed as expected, it was bare metal.

I once bought a refurbished tank from a company in Canada. The tank was just over $100. Wasn't for an s-10 but I can't imagine it would be too different. If only I remembered the name of the place it came from as that would most likely help.

$500 isn't bad for that work linex, it takes a lot of taping off. It was $400 for the bed of the crew! Have them do the rocker panels while you're at it, rust prevention all the way.

Funny, I too have noticed my steering pump making the same noise after the flaming river mod! The sound doesn't really bother me but mine is doing it as well, don't feel alone. I like to pretend its a Ford, they are known for steering sounds just as our rigs are with fuel pump buzzing!

Stopped by napa, new ujoints are only $25 so I picked them up. I didn't have much time but I attempted to tear into the rear and was unable to get the ujoint to come out. Is it possible that its rusted in place or am I missing something after taking the two collars off?

Usually no, not a full alignment, they can adjust that without doing a full alignment saving time and therefore money. It would be nice if they did redo it though.

Did this last night. Was very quick and easy. Also straightforward. It made a difference but not drastically huge but still nice. I think this would best be combined with the quick ratio steering box, although I do not have that as of yet since I heard it was a pain in the a$$ to put on.

I have the extra capacity radiator and if I run the a/c in traffic, I too have the same issue. I can only run the a/c at higher speeds. Another solution would be to get used to running with the windows down if it doesn't bother you too much.

In talking about length, I've done an AAL and 2" lift shackles. When putting the shocks on, I had the truck on a lift and had to jack the rear wheels up so the shocks were able to reach. Normally, shouldn't the shocks need to be compressed slightly to install?
