I did do mine. I tapped a screwdriver in between the race and axle tube to deform them as they have a thin wall and then simply pulled them out using that same screwdriver as they were now loose. The new ones I tapped in with a large socket and hammer.

Yes the caliper slides into two pieces and should be lubed liberally. There is a little rubber boot that acts like an accordion attached to it. These dry and become stiff. There is a redesign of the Colorado coming up estimated for 2012 model year. Rumors of a diesel but nothing solid. It is slated to be on a new platform however, GMT-700. I'm holding out to see what this brings before I go to a Silverado.

Its possible but operated like that for a year on the new alt before problems showed up. Either way I got rid of the sense wire and it works flawlessly now.

3rd alt. 2 remans and 1 brandy new all with the same problem until I got rid of the sense wire. So two regulators were of the same design, the brand new alt had a "higher quality" regulator.

It was correct. Worked flawlessly with the stock alt. The voltage regulator would work but only when the sense wire was removed. Otherwise the voltage would jump around, either no output at all or too high an output.

I used a self tapping screw from the bottom wheel well side of the flare up. Not the prettiest but holds well and was a fast easy fix that can always be replaced. I'm not shy about drilling holes. Works, just an idea.

I do believe there is a fuse that would take care of that. I changed my BCM and that was a side effect. The airbag light will illuminate and they would not deploy. Check again for a fuse. I do not recall which it would be.

PCV valves can be cleaned so they move freely if it is sticking, they also run about $3.99 or so at most auto parts stores. Your choice.

Ahhh yes, you can sometimes hit the light and the bulb will function for a period of time, but eventually it will fail. I was just thinking fuses, but there wouldn't be a fuse for each side, front and rear, that doesn't make sense. The front works as does a trailer when thats hooked up.
