I don't know the length offhand but have you considered a Zr2 axle? It's slightly longer and pushes the rear wheels out more evenly with the rear renders.

Anything larger than 30x9.5's will usually rub without a body lift. With my fenders stock, a 2 inch body lift, and a 1 inch torsion bar crank, my 31x10.5's rubbed the frame, and were very close to the backside of the wheel opening. Go for the body lift. It does so much for the appearance of the truc...

Well... after our third addition (baby girl born June 4th of this year), we felt that we needed something bigger. We've pretty much ruled out SUV's or large trucks, as we want easy accessibility.

And yes... I've seen quite a few of the new body-style avalache's running around... very nice... :)

Sadly... that rear flare isn't so good. I was looking at it earlier and there are several large cracks on the lip where it screws to the bed. There's also a 3" chunk missing from the lip aswell. :( Not really sure where any receipts are, or if I have any. I haven't really done anything to the truck ...

Just to give you an example: I have 3.73 gears, and I'm running 31x10.5x15 BFG AT/KO's. I might one day make the jump to 33x10.5x15's, but I'd never bother going higher, even if I could. IMO, you would probably hate the performance/sluggishness with 3.42's and 31's.

Barch makes a good point. Most security measures are a deterant. They take the temptation of an easy steal away, by making the would be thief work a bit harder (locking gas cap, rolled up windows, locked doors, etc...). In some cases it works, but against a determined person, probably not.

I would recommend Rancho's if you're on a really tight budget (I have them), but from what I've heard from Brule and Reed (HenryJ and f9k9)--and others--, the Bilstein's are more than worth the extra cost.

When you say you raised the front using keys, did you just turn the bolt that raises the front, or did you actually buy new keys and install them? I may have missed something, just want to make sure. Honestly, if there was no damage to any of your other tires, I don't think you're gonna have much luck getting all four tires replaced... Getting one replaced shouldn't hurt anything. The biggest issue is usually visual--getting the same tire so that they don't look mismatched.

What you're describing sounds like the fan is staying on. I know in the summer, when I get up to speed, particularly higher rpms with the fan on, it sounds like a jet. :)

Yea... 80 to pick the truck up, 20 to store it for the weekend, and 80 to deliver it to a dealership 25 miles away. That's the only dealer I trust though. They'll pay the towing company when they deliver it, and just add it to my bill.

A 7200RPM will draw more current, but it most cases, the hard drive is the performance bottleneck, so any speed improvement there should speed things up .:)

Alpine and Infinity also make 4x6" plates. You'll be happy with either of these or the JL's. :) Of course, you could make some small modifications and drop a 5-1/4" component set in there. :)

I'd steer clear of thornbirds... you'll be sacrificing ride quality as well as offroad performance. If you want something aggressive looking, check out the Geolander MT's, BFG KM's, or Wrangler MT's. Those are pretty awesome looking tires. :)

Do a search on Ebay for RMB6. IMO, the rear speakers are good for nothing except bass/mid-bass. Kicker makes two shallow mounted midbass drivers, a 6" and an 8". You want the 6" of course (RMB6). Wouldn't hurt to amp them either, but I'd put an amp on the front speakers first.

The modification page still shows the fiberglass fenders website. Their $355.00 per fender but still may be an option. That price is per set. Front set $355 There are no rear fenders for our trucks though. With the way our rear fenders bulge out, you could probably cut out the wheel opening to look...

Those would work using the method most of us have used when installing te skidz flares. That would give you more tire room, BUT.... I have to agree with Jigg, just from those small pics, they don't look that great.

IMO, for the price you'd pay for a set of nice 20's, or maybe even some 18's with tires, you could easily get a body lift, alignment after the TB crank, and a set of 30's or 31's. And remember, larger wheels mean more weight, so your gas mileage might suffer either way.

I usually tow in 3rd when pulling a heavy trailer, and most of my driving is above 65mph. Never had any problems here, except the extremely poor fuel economy. :lol:

My 2wd Sonoma did that as well. It would burn the hide off one tire in forward, but would spin both in reverse.

I'm positive that I'm bias towards the BFG's, as I've never used the Mickey Thompsons, or the Geolanders. IMO the BFG AT's are a 200% improvement over the stock badyears. :) Brule (HenryJ) or Reed (F9K9) have both owned BFG's and Geolanders, and should be able to give a good comparision between the ...

While I'd like to say I'm 100% loyal to the S-Series, honestly I doubt I'd buy another one. When I think about everything I've done to my CC to get it to look like a decent 4x4, and then I look at other offerings like Taco's and Frontiers, and even full sizers, I tend to lean toward the latter three...
