Working in an Product Development office I can tell you they weren't lazy....Most likely swamped with a gazillion other things going on. In the end, they don't melt, they don't kink, and they flow tranny fluid to the cooler. Hard to tell from the pics, but are you sure that isn't an abrassion on the...

It's not a flaw, it's a compromise. Where else are you going to run the lines? Other side of the transmission has a prop-shaft spining nearby, thats not a good idea. Don't want them coming out of the bottom of the trans, to easy to break there. Don't want them on top either, as the might get pinched...

Imho -that is one fugly truck. I am afraid I do not see the point in bagged and dropped trucks they are going in the wrong direction. TO each thier own I suppose, as I don't really see the needs for lifted/off road prepped trucks, just like you, they're going the wrong direction.......Just depends ...

Sweet ride.....bagged CC inside

Stretched CC @ Ebay

Someone posted this on another S-series board, thought I would cross post it here. I'm not really diggin the wheels, or seats, but the concept is there.

Wish I had the cash to turn the ZR5 into something similar.

Yikes, this is the first I've heard of HAM in some years. My whole family was into it pretty deep back in the day. I got my license when I was 11 back in 1990. Call sign was KD4EWP.....I let it expire a few years back when I realized I hadn't used it in a few years. Kinda wish I would've kept it now...

Also be aware, the convertor still locks in 3rd, however it unlocks alot sooner in 3rd than 4th. This is the first time I have ever heard this. :? How does the TC lock up in 3rd without the use of the TC lock up solenoid which is only activated in 4th gear. :? I'm certainly not saying your wrong, b...

The sad thing is that most tranny overheating failures will require service once the truck has missed it's 36k miles warranty end.

Dang dealerships.

Yea, basically what those guys said. I don't think the SOlenoid or the clutch is the problem, I think it's purely a function of heat. Locking/unlocking the convertor creates some heat, and heat kills the tranny. I towed my Xtreme on a car trailer last week, and it did fine. used 3rd for the duration...
