I know it's not something that most people would want to do. Counting my company truck, I have two vehicles that use the same type remote. If you are hearing the noise from inside the cab, don't forget to check the hood hinges.

It would really suck if you replaced a bunch of parts only to find out you needed a 50 cent washer that GM sells for 5 dollars.

Grass, weeds, pine straw, and bugs tend to build up between the AC coils and the radiator. The only way to see it is to take the top half of the fan shroud off. That's the first place I look anytime I have a truck running hotter than it should.

No, they are not reverse threads.

The best way of remembering it is with the motor running, the waterpump shaft is trying to screw into the fanclutch nut (it gets tighter). So, with the motor off, turning the fan and nut the direction the fan is designed to turn will screw it off.

Twice I have replaced a bulb only to notice that it was not pointing right the next time I drove the truck at night. Both times I did not have the bulb seated it the socket good. If I remember right, there were three tabs and I only snagged two. Easy to fix once you figure it out. Have you replace a...

I put a Delphi FG0070 in my wifes 2001 crew. It was sold to me as being OEM. I have no way of proving that. I can't answer the question about if it will fit the '02.

I think the Delphi part number for the crew cab is FG0248 but I could be wrong (again).

Try this. $349 http://www.napaonline.com/masterpages/NOLMaster.aspx?PageId=430&CatId=4&SubCatId=2 After looking at it again, I'm not sure which one is for the Crew Cab. The note may be for the item above or for the item below. Delphi is the OEM ( I think ) ICBW MWSIUA James One other thing. Read thi...

I got a truck home by kicking the bottom of the fuel tank with the heel of my boot once. It only worked once but that was all I needed.

I don't unload the torsion bar. Put the vehicle on jack stands under the frame. Put a bottle jack under the lower control arm. Pop the top ball joint. The last one is the hard part. The way I do it is to jack up the bottle jack until the frame starts coming up off the jack stands. Find a nut or any ...

If you're concerned over trans-temps install an external add-on cooler. The truck my wife usually drives on the mail route has a B&M cooler on it. The Blazer she was driving while I had her mail truck tore down for an intake gasket and several other things did not. It was on my list of things to do...

Steve, I would have figured you to be against it from your previous post. Phoenix recommended synthetic in the transmission they built for me. I called them back to ask about the Dexron VI and they said it would be fine. I am considering changing the other two over to Dexron VI. Some of the info I h...

Dexron VI

Has anyone changed over to Dexron VI yet (That's 6, I'm not roman so I had to look it up :) they confused me when they skipped 4 and 5) GM site says it is recommended for previous applications requiring Dexron III. Also says it is compatible with Dexron III so a complete and thorough flush may be be...
