Guess you mean a stick? I was thinking of just swapping in a 231, but I've really not had any problems with mine and I got my CB on the center and wouldn't have anywhere else to put it. And it was the most easy fix.

Get the HPPIII. I got mine calibrated for 35's/4.88's. The setting that worked for that was 32's/4.56's. Since the HPPIII can be set for a max of 33's and 4.56's, like Henry said, I still had to be creative with the combo, but it's right on the money.

I just reprogrammed mine to take out the firm shift. It was getting anoying. Now it's a nice smooth shift without the jerking around. Strange, maybe it's cause of all my different parts now. Wow, it's been so long since I've been on this forum. Just decide to do some surf'n. :)

Check you clutch on your fan. Mine did the same thing and had to replace mine at about 70 k miles I think? Got mine from Rockauto.com. At 82k now and no prob.

How to tie fly string together on fly rod???

Anybody have any links to any diagrams of how to tie together fly string on a fly rod? I'm just getting into this and I have 2 different strings and have no idea how to put it together. And this will actually involve my truck, cause there is some heavy wheeling involved to get to the fishing spot. :D

Sweet. Let us know how you like it after the swap. I've been pondering the same mod for a while now, but waiting till mine wears out probably. I kinda like the stock one for the highway though, but at times want the quick ratio. Be nice to switch between the 2. lol.

Yea, they should have checked alignment. As I remember, some of the stuff that keeps it aligned has to come apart to swap the CV shafts. Good luck.

Yea, I was doing that. OK, I just fixed it. I uninstalled the Topo maps and re-installed it. Working fine now. Ugh.

And you have Ver 6??? I just got this thang, and I am running Ver 3.02 of Topo maps. Gee.

Yea, it sees them. Ha, I do computer stuff for a living and I just get so frustrated with stupid apps. When I select Topo maps, it has always asked me in the past to insert the CD, now it doesn't, it doesn't do anything. Just displays a blank map, no topo info and it seems happy. :x

I changed some CD and DVD players around in my computer, put in a new DVD writer and now I can't seem to figure out how to get my Garmin to load the Topo maps from DVD. Seems it doesn't even try. Anybody know.

I get tired of all the steps to do anything in the manual. I just look at it and do it the easiest way, which usually skip a several steps the manual says. The manual is good for looking up torque specs and fluid capacities though, and it does make a good starting point at times.

It don't matter. What matter's is having the the resultant clearance you want in equal or you may want a bit more on the driver's side for driver weight.

Mine does that same thing since I bought it. I even had it replaced under warranty, same thing. At times it sound very loud, but not all the time. Still catches me off guard at times. But I've accepted it as normal by now, never really worried about it, at least I know it's working. :lol:

OK, seems everything is in order now after I replaced the tranny mount also. Amazing that stuff dry rots in 5 years. Also replacing the water pump and other pm stuff while I am in there.

Well, I just replaced them. Now the fan is hitting the top of the fan shroud. WTF. I also see some antifreeze a bit on the engine. Trying to figure where it's coming from. Maybe it did screw up the water pump. Ugh. Looks like more for the weekend to work on. :roll:

250 ft/lbs torque at 2800rpm. Sweet. That's why our motors are great! Nothing will beat that at that low of rpm. :P

And it doesn't mention, but most of the others have drum rear brakes.

The people that welded I've noticed are just the type that like welding everything, cause of fear. I didn't weld anything, and it held up to anything I gave it. I did have to grind a few things.

Added: Oops, I guess I did have to get the exhaust cut/welded for re-positioning.

That goes for about all 4x4's on the market. With all the roll-over regs. Just looks at the 4x4's of the 70's, the stock clearance was awsome, now they all just look like low riders.

Then your best bet would be to get an older vehicle that has a mechanical fuel pump ($20) and a carb mounted filter ($1). Problem solved. :wink:

Yea, sounds like you need to find a new gas station for filling up. It's a fuel problem, not a chevy problem. I got 75k miles and still running original same filter.
