The back shocks only can go one way. The front shocks boots up. Back shocks boots down. The back raised up more that the front. It rides good and I like the lift but I don't understand the lift..

Well, I got my shocks on today.
It does sit higher!! The back sits higher big time. I have read here somewhere they don't raise it any. I'm telling you guys it does set higher.
Will it drop back down when I drive it more? I drove it about 10 miles and it does ride nice but it still jacked up.

There is a guy on another forum that took and extra cab and extended the frame to add crew cab doors. He used the cc bed too. It's a very long truck.. That gives him 5 doors...

OK now I'm ready to get shocks I would like to know what is the difference from stock? I like the ride of my CC with the stock shocks. I don't want a hard ride. I like a soft ride. Everyone gets the Bilsteins and wow what a difference. What is it?

I hope so... I played with mine with the old tires and before the allinement. I raised it up then drove for awile and would go a little more then I went too much.. Then back down. Then I made shackles and got new tires and got it allined. Been good to go ..

When I was playing with my ride hight I cranked a little to much and my cv joints on the drivers side did the same thing. I lowerd it a little and the noise was gone. I can't see changing the t bar hight making the drive shaft to make noise..

Is there a factor thet with taller tires that your speedo is off along with the miles. Bigger tires slower speed and less miles. So if you put bigger tires on and you check your mpg it will be wrong...

I am very happy with my 1.5 t-bar and 1.5 shackle with the Skids cut out's in the front. I did the bumper stop mod too. I only have the frame rub but I can live with that. I have 31/10.50 on stock rims. And give me a hard time but I still have the stock shocks at 55,000 miles.

On my old Blazer I made my own bushings.. I think I'm going to go buy some new ones and make some more. Looks like my Jimmy will be needing them soon. I make them out of stainless steal. They last forever.

Years ago when I worked a a parts store I took one part at a time home from a Baha kit and poped a mold off each part. I made my own kit. I returned the parts cleaner than they were when I took them... I made like 10 kits from them...

My old Blazer had a g 80 in it and it worked perfict for 270,000 miles. Then I sold it and I still see it on the road. I bet it still works too. I made it lock all the time in the rain. My 2001 Jimmy has one and my 2002 cc has one and they work perfict too. So I don't see the problem....

Pull the hoses off the vacumme switch and see if it has oil in them... Open your glove box and pull a hose off one of your vacumme pods and see if it has oil in it. Open your hood and look on the drivers side firewall and you will see a vacumme hose. Pull it apart at the (T) and see if you have oil ...

Even though I just got mine I have always wanted one. I have always had s10's so I'm going to keep it for the long haul... My last one was a 1993 s10 blazer and when I sold it it had 247,000 miles on and still ran good. The guy just took it from Fl. to Ny. and back with no problems... My wife drives...

I want to make my own shackles. Does anyone know the distance between the holes. Like center to center for a 1.5 lift? What size holes for the bolts. I would like to save not have to remove a bolt to see.

Sounds like the your evaporator is freezing up. Some times when it is cool outside and you run the air for a long period it will freeze up. Next time try running it on ac and not on max. This will run the warmer air from outside through the evaporator and it won't freeze up. Or it could be your low ...

I found a trailer hitch today and when I went to pick it up the guy opens his shop and what do I see....... A crew cab zr5 all smashed up. But it had a good hitch on it. Got it for 25 dollars. The poor thing rolled like five times. Not to much good on it. All 4 zr5 rims are snapped off. No body part...

You brought up a very good point. I have looked at them all and it is hard to tell witch ones are good. Just because you got them at NAPA don't mean they are good.
So this brings us to where to get good ones. I think all the chains mite use the same rebuilder? What do you think?

I have a 2002 GMC Sonoma. I love it. The only thing I wish I did before I bought it was check the vacuum switch on the transfer case. I would of got a better deal.

I jacked up then dropped it down so I could get to the nuts. I have big hands so they where hard to get too. I cut the tab off so I could twist the bump stop instead of the nut. I just picked up two bump stops from the bone yard. I had to cut the tip off them so they would even fit. You guys must have your t bars cranked more than me. They work though. My tires would hit on big bumps but I don't think they can now. I have a big bump that they would rub on the way to work so...

Looks good.. I don't see a pop rivet at mid point. I don't want that one. Did you just put one on the bottom? Where did you get the cut line from. Just a guess where to cut or is there a template for this cut?

I changed mine out today. Very easy to change. Took like 10 min. I cleaned out the vacuum lines. They had oil in them. I pulled out the AC control and it is clean. So I think I got it in time. The ripoff dealer charged me $56.00 for the switch and $6.56 for the O-ring. What a joke. I had to get them...

The 1992 Blazer had 256,000 when it let go. The last Blazer I had had 207,000 and it was changed at 175,000 and it was still good. There is a way to check it. Take the dizzy cap off and turn the motor the way it runs with a socket by hand. You don't have to move it much. You can line the timming mar...

I had 1 1992 cpi 4.3 blow a chain and it bent the valves. Had to pull the heads to get them fixed.

My new thermostat came with a new seal. I got the fail safe one. When it goes bad it is open so you don't burn up the motor.

After reading this I'm worred to death. I just bought my cc 2 weeks ago and now first thing tomorrow. I'm going to pull it out and look to see what color the stripe is. My cc has 77,000 miles on it now.

I run 31 10.50's on stock rims. The only rub I have is on sharp turns. The left front tire rubs the frame. I don't do much off roading mostly street use. I have no body lift.
