My friend had a pair of in channel and I have the ones on the outside. If both are installed correctly, both will provide years of use. I prefer the looks of the in channel ones though. Much cleaner install and I would go with those next time.

There's a 100% chance in my case. That is what caused this u-joint to fail! It was a replacement about 15k ago when the originals wore out. Cap fell right out this time apparently. I had the same problem. I used lots of PB Blaster and heat and beat method. Came out. Just be cautious not to damage the bushings too bad. Mine were in there GOOD.

Get a trailer rated for weight of the s-10. Get some good straps and tie it down. Trailers are meant to be towed, your s-10 isn't.

I recycled mine by cutting it up and using as ski guides for a snowmobile trailer, screwed them to the decking. Worked great. I take it that's not much of a hobby in your area though.

I was hoping for a good weld if it is an okay location for them to do so. It is broken off in 2 of the 3 mounting spots. It is also aluminum. That will make repairs difficult if not impossible.

I went with cheap shocks the first time. Money wasted. 2 of 4 died. Lifetime warranty sure, but how many times do I want to change them out? Went with the Bilsteins instead.

There are pocket holsters that hold it in the same position every time. Practice is key. I have the Kahr PM9 and love it. Very compact, reliable and TIGHT. Took over 200 rounds to break in and its still tight. Pricey, but lots of features. External safety is a nice feature.

I also have the MT/Rs, older style. They have chunked on some rocks, that's my only complaint. Many miles and going strong. I run them winter and spring mostly. I love the sound of them on pavement too!

I cranked my torsion bars. The boots popped off but go back on fine w/ large hose clamps. Ball joints every year though. Lifetime warranty on those... still a pain to change. Your choice. But bodylift is more appetizing.

I second the SFA. More cost efficient if using for anything more than a mall crawler. Those who use their rigs after doing a standard 6" suspension lift, all seem to eventually look at going SFA.

Sometimes depending on the deck you got, there are settings for it. Mine dims when the headlights are turned on, however is not variable dimming with the dimmer switch. My boot popped off couple years ago. After a 2 1/2 hour drive in the rain, i found it had come off when it was up on a lift. No idea how long it had been off either. I cleaned it up then filled the boot with grease and re-attached. Again, that was a couple years ago and thousands of miles.

I upgraded from stock. I wish I left it alone. If you have the newer style with 6 disc changer, I would leave it in and not "upgrade" with the exception of speakers.

I used a flathead screwdriver and tapped it in between the axle tube and the outside of the bearing sleeve. This deformed it and made it easy to just pull them out.

I justify it to the other half by using it to "plow" the driveway. Makes a fun weekend rig during the summer though for some real thrashing! You would be amazed the places they really go. There aren't many trails around here so if you have lots of land they're great, if not, get used to doing circles.

I wouldn't say its worth that for our trucks, this coming from someone that tuned their PCM. Not worth it. Maybe a dedicated track rig? If you can use it on more than one vehicle and have a couple that can use it or the cash to blow, I say sure and let us know how it is!

All that sounds great except that its carbureted. So nothing would apply. I tuned the A/F ratios by tuning the carbs and replacing the air filter. Gearing will remain the same as it is a fun commuter 500cc not a race machine. Although some may have raced them as they're light and agile. I'm not plan...

I feel good about being more prepared than you as I can't think of any other scenario this would happen! haha. That's good news on the bluetooth. I am working on convincing a buddy to split a pair with me. We'll see how that goes.

Well since it's been getting cold and snow is starting to fly it was time to store the bike. But of course I can't just park it without playing. Changed the plugs. Oil change w/ full synthetics. FOG mod as suggested by HenryJ. K&N air filter. Added fuel filter. Sylvania Silverstar headlight and aime...

Picked up a S&W 6906 Shorty 9mm limited run Performance Center. Low serial # and only 200 made. In great shape for sure. The poor quality cell pictures don't do it justice.
