Newest truck I could find was an 01 Sonoma with the 2.2 base model so I guess I'm gonna get the pcm for less vin matched bcm from eBay for 200 they say that they can vin match it before its put in the truck... And will provide proof it was indeed done... And I can request additional features be turn...

Thanks for the info I'm gonna have to have the new bcm vin matched anyways I got all functions back tried the relearn process but it still won't start the security light stays on constantly again but keyless entry works all the interior lights work the 4wd lights all flash on but go right back out.....

I pulled the steering shaft out and removed the center plug on drivers side so all 6 have been pulled cylinders purged and sparkplugs and wires replaced number 3 also shot water out when I removed it I can now get it to run but the security system won't let it keep running.. It doesn't knock it does...

got the engine to start... but the security system wont let it run.. pulled the BCM and RKE and TCCM modules... seperated the housings.... sprayed the boards down with wd40 and am waiting for them to dry and then i will re-try them.... the bcm and tccm just had a slight film of corrosion on them wd4...

Well I put the plugs and wires on it just spins over... Guess it needs that bcm to start ? Fuel pump works fine..as do all the gauges and overhead console and radio no interior lights...and the security light stays on... So I'm guessing that has it in lock down mode and won't give it any spark....

Removed the steering shaft and pulled the sparkplugs out shot water out and spun over just fine... Prolly gonna do head gaskets and intake gasket but I got new plugs and wires and gonna see if she starts tomorrow it built 40+psi ofoil pressure

Also the airbags seem ok the light flashes 5-6 times like it says in the owners manual and goes out security light stays on and that's it...and on that bcm... How would I vin match it? Yeah I'm not sure how to go about vin matching...thanks anyways ...is it the bcm that controls the security system and keyless entry? And the tccm would control the 4x4 buttons? They don't even light up courtesy lights don't work everything else seems ok... HVAC works.. Power windows and locks work....

since i have done the bravada axle swap do they not make a plug... like a diff drain plug to put in place of the vac switch... i plugged off the vac line next to the drivers fender but i'd like to just do away with it all together thanks

thanks for the info... i didnt think it was dead accurate for fuel gauge to actual tank amount ratio... i used to have a 2wd ext cab w/4.3 2003 and i put 18.2 gallons in it once... way below the red line on gauge... ive not ran the crewcab 2004 that low but ive never been able to put over 16.? in it...

Has anyone heard anything more about the ifs lift from real lift that uses the 9.25 differential from the 3/4 and 1ton trucks? I haven't heard about it in years just wondering thanks... I want bigger and stronger but I don't want to sas my truck

Thanks it doesn't show how to cut the flares tho... I already cut the fenders and bed but it looks terrible without the flares the post that had the how to on factory flares doesn't show the pictures any more

Ouch all the sudden I'm only getting 48 miles to a quarter of a tank 18 dollars for 5.125 gallons to go 48 miles I have put a new fuel pump in it a few weeks ago put a new fuel filter in today maybe it will help... Last week I was getting 70-80 miles on same amount of gas plenty of air in tires.... ...

I know you would need a one inch spacer per side on the rear to make it even with the front but anything else in not sure.... last time i checked it was fine when the fill plug was removed it would run out a little bit... fluid looked brand new can you use synthetic lucas diff oil in these diffs? if so i have several bottles of it and would like to run the synthetic lube

still havent had any luck tracking down the noise my truck is making in 4wd... the only thing i can think of thats left is maybe slack in my t-case chain ? it only makes the noise when i let off the gas and start coasting.. its a whine similar to the sound it makes in 4low.... just not exactly the s...

oh yeah... the noise is not quite as bad... but it still makes it... and only in 4x4... and it seems like it takes longer for it to disengage 4x4 also... like 200-300 ft before you hear/feel it disengage it used to be like 50-70 ft...

what about gmpartsdirect.com ? last time i was looking there they still had them.. 193 per bar all you would need is the part number for the zr2 bars.... maybe a lil more pricey but atleast u know they will be new

it is at max z height from the lower c arm bolt to the bottom of the arm at the ball joint... the cv axles have gone from perfectly level to a good bit of angle i'm just trying to figure out why my truck still sits like 2-3 inches lower than a true ZR2 will going from 235/75's to 31/10.5's really ma...

ok i re did the t-bar crank... and shackles.. the passenger side is maxed out the bolt is run all the way up... but the drivers side is only like a 1/4 of the way up from stock... both sides sit even just like a 1/4 inch below 33inches from ground to fender lip..can i remove my passenger t-bar and k...

thats a big possibility not sure how long the hub bearings last on an s10 4x4.. this is the first one ive owned.. others were all 2wd.. but at work we had a 2004 2500 gmc 4x4 with a service bed and we had to change the front hubs out 1-2 times a year and the truck doesnt even have 40k miles on it......

fluid is ok in differential i did check my t-case and it was a quart and a half low i filled it up and put teflon tape on the fill hole plug threads for some reason it leaks out of the fill plug... it wasnt really tight in the hole... threads didnt look worn but it wasnt a super tight fit... teflon ...

i'm not sure if they would fit or clear anything... but they are close to the stock size and they would almost have to be the gabriels because monroes air shocks have the external/visible air bladder that would more likley cause a clearance problem but the gabriel airshocks have a sleeve that the ai...

ok so i was looking around on ebay.. found this guy that sells gabriel airshocks in all kinds of lengths... what caught my eye is a set of 10.8 compressed 20.8 extended airshocks outer diameter was 2.5 inches thats not much different then the front shocks on a 4x4 s-10 right? the stockers are like 1...

it's still pretty nice down here... but still tar balls washing up even tho they layed off all the cleanup workers... i wish i was still doing that.... when they had the equipment on the beach doing the powerscreens we worked 96.5 hours a week... at 18 an hour i miss that money

No they look like new no burned or discolored spots... just shinny silver on the resistor .....and the ones on the in dash 1-2-3-4 switch look fine also... no burn marks or discoloration

ok i took my dash apart no fluid in any of my vaccum lines... took volt meter checked the wires running to the 1-2-3-4 switch... got voltage up to the switch still cant figure out why 1-2 dont work...

Crawl underneath and check the "triple hose" connected to the transfercase switch. That is where the fluid will be coming from. No fluid leaking from here... guess i'll take the dash apart tommarow... i was hoping to not have to take it apart... they usually sqeak and rattle after you take them apa...

also i looked for the paint mark on the t-case vac switch... didnt see a blue or green.. no paint mark at all... but i didnt take it out.. it wasnt leaking so i didnt want to mess with it to much

thanks i crawled under it and looked everything is dry .. exept for the rear main... lol a little bit of teflon tape on the t-case filler plug seems to have fixed that leak... i unpluged the big 4 prong plug from the hvac housing... everything nice and shiny no burned spots where do i find the resis...

thanks.. i changed out a section of the vac hose at the little T it was almost broke in half... it helped alot... didnt notice any fluid in the lines but im gonna take my dash apart and check the hoses running to the dash controls and check the resistors hope it isnt to costly thanks :) and Happy th...

Hey guys i got another problem with my 04 CC.... the blower motor does not work on 1 or 2... works great on 3 and 4... but as soon as you start moving... like 10mph and up... you can feel it start to blow air thru the vents.... Not on Max A/C but everything else it will flow air on 1-2 as long as yo...

it's not the clutch fan it only does it under load its smooth in neutral all thru the rpms i got under the truck and checked everything earlier when it was daylight and added almost a whole quart of atf to the t-case... :( the filler plug lets fluid leak out of it... not the drain... the fill hole.....

well i just went to the store... and it has gotten a bit worse.. you can feel it not much but enough to know something aint right... only does it under acceleration.... starts at 2500 and continues through out the rpms... ive read other posts.. still cant quite figure it out.... it also does it in 2...

Hey everybody im new to the forum but not to s10's... this is my first crewcab... also first 4wd.... i hope someone can help me out with this.. when driving in 4wd... when accelerating in 4wd at 2500 rpms the truck makes a roaring noise... it didnt do this when i got it (111,000) and it just started...
