HID's sound good but the real kits for conversions are 100's of dollars the cheap ones aren't real and fake you into thinking theres more light on the road than there really is by changing the light color. They can be pretty dangerous. But for a few bucks you can get the Sylverstars and like I'm try...

Sylvania does have the 880ST but the 885s are still double the lumens output over the 880ST. If it won't overload the wiring it seems a great option to me. I can't imagine I'm the first one to try running these lamps in our trucks. In theory if it did overload it would blow the fuse due to too much ...

Fog light upgrades

I just went to the local autozone to pick up some fog light bulbs for my stock lights. The 885s were cheaper and were 50w instead of the lower 27w 880 bulbs we had stock. They are slightly different shape but fit in the wire harness snuggly just don't clip in. Would these bulbs be bad for my wiring?...

I've talked to pretty much every dealer I can find and to no avail. They also checked the database and couldn't find any: "I don't see a dealer in the country having it". The only help was to look at a vintage parts store online who didn't have the shields in stock!

My old car did this as it had a hole in the gas tank. Just water in the fuel so I added dry gas. Easy fix to an easy problem hopefully yours is easy and the dealer is just not too smart.

So skid plates aren't available off of the gmparts direct website anymore... discontinued! "12496888, I am sorry the part number you requested has been discontinued and is no longer available from GM. You will have to find an aftermarket source for this part. You may be able to locate one through VP...

Yeah I did read that they delayed it a year as it was supposed to be introduced mid-year in 08 so they pushed it to 09... I guess I'll have to wait till 09 to start shopping for a new truck or the camaro seems good too!

Towing

I was wondering how much I should be able to tow. I don't have a larger radiator or a transmission cooler installed or even a low temp thermostat. The trailer would not have trailer brakes as I don't have the hookup for it on my truck. Its fairly cool up north here. Any ideas to the amount where I c...

I just replaced my switch, the old one had failed and there was some fluid in the lines that I could see. When the boot falls down because of the TB crank like the drivers side I'll prob check it. If it is failing I can't stop it unless I replace it. I'm sure I'll check it soon enough. Thanks for the possible idea though I'll def keep my eye on it!

Well the ear isn't broken completely off its just split open so the screw turns inside it when it gets too tight so I'm just thinking a small bolt could go through both holes then get tightened down w/ a nut on the bottom.

Chevy Lean and odd noise...

Ok two questions: 1. Does anyone's truck lean to the passenger or drivers side? Mine leans to the passengers side about 1/2 an inch. The front and rear are even heights just evenly leaning... I cranked the Tbars and did shackles could this have caused the problem? I'd like to think its compensation ...
