Battery leaked

I have had 3 2nd generation s-10 and all 3 at some point have spewed acid down the frame. Now my crew cab has done it the worst of the 3. Ate the paint off the battery tray and a lot of the wax off the frame :x . Anyone else had this problem?

That was going to be my comment about the body lift. I don't think they know what their talking about. I have Rancho rs 5000 shocks on my truck and they said that they were designed for our size truck.

That is correct the front shield off my 95 Z will not fit my crewcab. So the Z' s are different on the front shield, the rest will fit.

We only have one bracket end for the stabilizer. On my ZR2 the linkage has a hole in it for the other end of the stabilizer. I haven't been able to find a stabilizer to fit ours yet, though I haven't look very hard only at 4 wheel parts. We need one that clamps on at one end.

I wanted to drive one with a 3.73 before I ordered mine but couldn't find one. So I ordered the 3.42 I thought it would get worse mileage. My best mileage so far is around 18.5 not much highway though.

henryj's not kidding about the shocks, I changed mine today, I can't believe their not gas shocks. their very weak even compaired to the shocks I put on with 30K miles on them.

It should work. You would have to remove your console. I did same thing when I had my 89 S-10 studs on the outside are all you need to use.

If you buy one from the junk yard try to get one from a 2 dr blazer. Their the same ones as the crewcab ZR5. I bought one from the dealer for mine and the instructions were for a blazer. I Still can't bring myself to drill holes in the roof. I paid $154 for mine.

I don't have the numbers but there made by autoventshade. You should be able to get them at pepboys, auto zone or I got mine at advanced auto parts. Just get them for a 4dr blazer.

was going through some old pics and found this pic of my old 89 S-10. I had a smitty-bilt prerunner bar on front and rear, wander if it would fit on our style trucks. cost around 125 back in 93 or 94 when i put it on and it had end caps. don't know if they still make them or not. Picture sorry about...

My mud flaps are from Auto Zone, about 8 bucks per set. I don't know about the black vinyl strip kinda don't like mine, sticks out like a sore thump. Wish it was body color. I like the ZR5's but didn't like that they made the bumpers black.

I don't know if anyone makes them yet, but I bought the ones for the 4 dr blazer. The back ones are about 4" or so short, but if you place them just right they will work fine. Autovent shade by the way, is what I have.

No leaks on my 2002 crew yet, but my 95 ZR2 has had them replaced once and I'm going to have to do it again pretty soon. Mine seem to be leaking through the hose not the ends though.

Jim, did you have to weld or bolt a bracket to the frame, to mount the upper connection ends? I may have found a used one but they say a bracket will have to be welded on for it to work.

ZR2 and regular S-10 suspension

I have a 95 ZR2 and a 02 crewcab I was wandering the same thing, so I measured the front width and it is a little wider. I had heard that the suspension would not bolt up. Don't know about the rear though?

I personally like the Lund Intersepter. I get the clear and paint the back to match the truck. Got mine from Summit Racing for about $60.
