Since the Syclones and Typhoons were 4.3 also, the manifold would probably not be a problem...but you'd probably need to strengthen your pistons, rods, and crank to handle the extra HP under boost. The JB Weld will stop the large scale leaking temporarily, but it won't seal everything to make the SES light go out. I'm not sure what's involved with swapping the tank. I doubt you'll find one for $200...I could be wrong though. It cost me a little over $800 to have mine replaced at a dealership. The parts alone were around $500-$600 I think. Most expensive estimate was when I was still in AZ...they quoted me $1100 to fix it. :shock:

No simple fix :( That was recently covered in another thread. I think Mark had to pay $800 to replace the tank. He tried all kinds of stuff to seal it up and all failed. Check the seal on the cap for cracks too. Mine had several cracks in it (one every 1/8" or so) and needed to be replaced.

A regular C5 rides like a Cadillac too...nice soft comfortble ride, but solid where it needs to be. You can find late 90's ones for low to mid $20K or less too.

Yeah...it will need some much better gears for that I-5 to turn 37's.

Doesn't the H3 have the same diff's as our truck too? They'll probably be blowing those up with 37's on there also.

I believe all they can do at the dealership is adjust the PCM to tire sizes for other models within GM. I don't think they can just tell the PCM "he's got 32's" like the HPP3 can. I could be wrong though. Maybe try another dealership.

I got the Taylor 8mm Spiro Pro plug wire kit installed this past weekend and it seemed that there were a couple extra wires in the kit. It was two short (about 9"-10") wires with black boots on each end. Any idea what these would be for? Also...I wish I would have realized before I struggled through...

If I was doing mine, I'd use a DTR (Direct-To-Rust) epoxy and brush it on. That will give you good durability and encapsulate that rust so that it doesn't come through again.

Maybe take off the wheels and make sure there's no rocks or anything caught between the dust shield thing and the brake disc. Yes...there will be holes in the sides of the bed. The consensus here is to get spacers for the rear to make it look more appropriate.

Also check to make sure your gas cap is tight and doesn't have a cracked seal. I had to replace mine a few weeks ago because it had gone bad and was throwing an SES light.

i want these rims really bad but i dont want them to rust after snow and the salt gets on them...does anyone think that if i take care of them it could work..and if so can i put a 10.5 inch wide tire on a 7 inch wide rim... Yes..a 10.5" wide tire will fit on a 7" wide rim. As for the wheels rusting...

I've always liked Rockford Fosgate because they seem to do the opposite with their power ratings...underestimate so that you can be pleasantly surprised by their abilities. 8)
