Well...Hobie's got 1.75" spacers on his and I don't think he had to trim anything. Just take off your wheel and measure the stud. If it's less than 1.5" long, then there's no trimming required. There's a lot of shop guys out there that are idiots...they're just salesmen trying to make more money. Th...

They're trying to get a GP going on some over at ZR2.com here but that thread has been there for weeks with no official details yet. You could also check here for a list of the part numbers for wheel spacers that work on our trucks and then click on the link on that page to take you to a place to or...

I'd be curious to know about engine tweeks too. I don't know of any one mine. :? The cloth interior is different though. I like it better than the 02's. It's kind of like a soft canvas-type material. I think it will show wear much less than the fluffier velour on the 02's, but only time will tell on...

Re: Straight pipe I/O muffler?
Hey, me too! I sold my '99 SS and bought the CC. I do miss that car, but just didn't drive it enough. I had headers, no cats and the SLP Loudmouth (as you probably know, this is just a small resonator in place of the muffler). Before the headers and no ctas, it sounded great. After that, it was int...

I'll talk to a friend of mine here in Phoenix that does web hosting from his home. He's currently hosting the local F Body website for free I think ( www.arizonafbody.com ). Maybe I can get him to hook us up with some good server space and a decent amount of bandwidth. That site I posted was my firs...

I got it online from a place called Beach Audio. It was $212 and then $5 for UPS ground shipping. I got it in just over a week. It's basically just plug and play. All you really need to buy is about 15-20 ft of power wire (at least 12 gauge...I used some left over 8 gauge that I had from my old setu...

Is that from the same company that makes the "Tornado?" :D Seriously though, I don't think that will do jack for creating significant power...it's a total ricer mod. With two of them in series it says it will produce up to 9% more HP, which on our trucks is 18 HP. K&N says their filters add up to 25...

I'll try to throw something together for you guys this week or maybe this weekend. I do web design and graphic design in my spare time so I'll see what I can put together. The Bazooka is in
And it sounds awesome! Nothing earth shattering or loud enough to bounce quarters on the roof, but it's definitely strong enough to notice and it shakes the rear view mirror pretty well too. Probably sounds at least as good as a single 8" would. Fits perfect behind the rear seat too. Didn't even hav...

Straight pipe I/O muffler?
Any of you guys run just a straight pipe in place of the muffler or know anyone who does? I'm thinking of doing this with mine, but if it sounds bad or really insanely loud, then I won't. I used to have a cutout (open exhaust after cat) on my Z28, and it sounded sweet (scared away lots of ricers :D ...

I think my 2003 might have that too. Is it kind of a vibration type of thing in the middle RPM range? Mine seems to be doing something like that. I figured it was just a thing with the enginge not being broken in yet or something. I guess it's not a serious problem, so i'll just have to get used to ...

Yes we have full size spares. What size is that donut spare, is it smaller in dia. or skinny? If it's smaller in dia. is there a warning tag that states not to use the 4x4 when it's installed? It's the same diameter as the stock wheels and tires, but it's only like 4" wide. It confus...

I have a full size spare unofrtunatly. i want a donut because if You can see in some of my rear end pictures, the tire hangs down a little. This is because I have the hidden hitch behind the roll pan and it is designed for use with a small spare tire or none at all. i may go to a junkyard at some p...

Hobie suggested something like that a few months ago he said I should put the spare on a roof rack. Your suggestion sounds like it would work nice for a truck that doesn't need a spare or a two wheel drive that can run a small spare. Mine only came with a donut spare anyway. I took that off abut 2 ...

Just a thought...but I wonder if you could set it up like a Camaro with a Flowmaster 80 series? The 80 series for the F-Body has the in on the right hand side as you're looking at the rear, and an out on the left and right that would be directed out the back. If you remove the spare tire and do a li...

Well, I mentioned one time that if you do have the rear gm locking diff, that the oil should be changed at least at the first oil change. Not sure how often after that. I've changed mine twice and I have 31k miles. I had the G80 rear end in my Z28 (can't remember if it was locking or limited slip.....

bought a flowmaster 40 series single in dual out and had 2.25" pipe ran through the back just like the stock as well as the other side. Then I had 3" Gibson Tips at the end. I don't personally like the job because he didn't use stainless steel. I plan on redoing my exhaust after I get a high flow c...

Who's got them? What do you have?
I just ordered a 6.5" Bazooka powered tube. Hopefully it will satisfy my thirst for better sound. I'm still curious as to what else can fit behind the seat in the back though.

I used to have them on my 92 S-10. They were noticeable at first, but eventually you got used to the obstruction...and they didn't really block your view all that much. I doubt they'd block your vision too much on our trucks. But I'm used to driving a Camaro fro the last three years, so I feel like ...
