I like your idea of where to mount them! I might just do the same thing. Mine are mounted below the front and rear bumpers. Let us know how they come out and post some pictures of the install! http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid200/p6df4a0918541bfc8817f729f5a3595cc/f087a8fb.jpg These are the s...
Sounds like you got a good plan! Where do you plan on mounting your lights? and what type of lights do plan on going with? I'm running Hella FF75 on the front and back. They are a very good light for the price. I got both sets from ebay.
ace wrote:I just checked Summit's website and it said these kits are no longer available. I also called and verified and they said yep they no longer carry them and they will not be getting anymore.
That sucks! I'm glad I got mine. I must of got one of the last sets.
OK, I went to visit my parents today and took the crew. There is this one stretch on the way to where they live that has a couple small hills with some semi windy roads. I am now more impressed than before with the handling. Turns that I had to brake for before I was now excelarating. This was compl...
What a perfect time to delete your pictures! :? All of the pictures I had linked from the Crew Cab photo gallery are showing up that way. I will try re-linking the picture, it should work. :? Steve I see the pictures are back :D Thanks! I just wanted to make sure I was installing the springs corect...
I had my hood painted with the fenders blended in. It was $300 and a lifetime warranty. You can't tell a difference from the original hood, everything matches perfect. The paint job is so good it makes the hood look like it came stock with the truck.
Don't forget the measurements before , during , and after, please . All the parts were shipped yesterday and they should arrive in a few days.I plan on doing the installation this saturday and I will get those measurements. :D I do a lot of mountain driving in the winter and hope this will make a b...
BTW, I am sure you are sick of all the "left" coast references but, JEEEEEEEESHHHHHHHH, that parking job ain't gonna win any friends  Just j/k :roflmao: http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid198/pe3bcea41d07ce07bc258ffa80afaeaa9/f0d8397e.jpg That was right after I brought it home after the ...

Ranco Cucamonga Isn't quite south central, It's about a 1/2 hour from where I live and I believe single family homes are going for close to a million dollars
Steve
Got the alignment, tire rotation included, everything feel's real good right now. They said my tie rods were bad and that my bushings looked ok for now, no cracks, but they said they are the same old GM bushings and they probably should be replaced and that before I get new tires I should have the t...
Just got back from the alignment shop, they jacked my truck up and moved the tires back and forth and said the Ball Joints are fine and that it probably just needs an alignment and that the camber bolts are probably loose. 65.00 to do the alignment good for 90 days. Hj I wish I knew of a sho...
Ok I'm Chilled. I think Killian96ss might be right, a mechanic at work told me the same thing. He recomended a alignment shop that just happens to be a mile down the street. I'm going there now! Oh and jeff024 my panties aren't in a bunch! I don't wear any!
"cough" maybe its the SL Maybe the SL is a factor or maybe not. Why are you coughing? You don't have a SL! Your probably glad you don't  I don't understand your post :!: Do you have a personel vendetta against Super Lift? If you don't have any valuable or helpful information why did you post...
I think my Ball Joints are going bad again. My truck has been pulling to the left on and off for the past couple of weeks. Today I was replacing the fender flare trim and noticed that my front tires are looking pigeon toed. This is the excact same thing it did last time. :x Any ideas what would be c...
I know I said no more mods but this is not cosmetic. I've been getting some rough idle and light pinging. Is this the right set up for the tune up? I think this is it for a long while! Marsha has been talking about buying a new house(Brand New) for sometime and she is getting serious! we're going to be looking this weekend. Now I know why she's been so cool about all the mods I've been doing to my truck.
Got my truck back today, by the time I got home it was getting pretty dark but I had to take a picture anyway and post it. http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid198/pe3bcea41d07ce07bc258ffa80afaeaa9/f0d8397e.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid198/pdc9523932cd485844ca86def6c63d984/f0d833...

I think it's time to upgrad...
I have been told by several friends of mine who are in the automotive field not to use spacers, that they are trouble. After I got my truck lifted and got my new rims and tires the guys that mounted them to my truck almost didn't want to do it because of the spacers on the rear, they thought I was n...
Although the hood's not perfect and I never thought it would be, I am happy with the way it fitted. The 1/8" in the front is not a big deal, that will easily be covered with my bug deflector. I do have another problem though, the latch seems to be about 1/2" off. I know this is not a show truck espe...
I have that same plastic piece on the top of my front bumper. I just put the light bar up to it where it mounts and marked it and took a round sander bit to it and sanded it out to where it would fit. Or you could have just bent those fronts bars in front of the plastic piece and marked it and then ...
Oh hell yeah! That hood looks sweet! BIG :thumb: :bounce: I love it! I got mine pre-fitted today. The front end didn't fit perfectly. F9K9 how did yours fit all around? Mine seemed to fit really good by the front by the windshield, but it seemed to be about 1/8 of an inch off in the front by the gri...
I got my hood today and was very pleased. The shipping company was awesome (BAX GLOBAL) The hood was still in the box standing upright strapped to a pallet :thumb: not even a scratch on the box. The hood is in excellent shape, I didn't see any blemishes. I will be test fitting saturday.I strongly re...

I was thinking about getting one awhile back but HJ shied me away from it. He suggested my money could be spent better on other mods. But for 33 bucks what the heck, go for it.
Hey welcome back! It's been awhile for sure. We were wondering what happened to you if you had sold your truck or what. You got a lot of catching up to do. I passed you in posts
My parents and sister still live in Hesperia at the top of the San Bernardino Mts and remember them complaining of last year's storm. Lots of snow in the high desert. I too can't wait for the snow on the slopes. I like the nightime snowboarding at Mt High. My wife's parents and one of her brothers ...
I live in the foothills of the San Bernardino mountains and although it doesn't snow where I live it does snow a 1/2 hour from where I live. Last year we had record breaking rain and snowfall in the local area and mountains. I had already been skiing several times by this time last year. We had a st...
Thanks Hj, That's great info that I would not of expected. What do you mean when you say the top rear edge of the cowl will need some attention? Are we talking bondo? Just want to know whats what so I don't get hosed.
What should I expect when getting my new hood ready for paint? Do I just take my hood to the paint shop? Do I take my truck and hood and leave it with the paint shop? Do I need to test fit the hood before it's painted? I've never done anything like this before and don't know what to expect. Any advi...
Rusty wrote:I had one of those too. Now I have a "booster seat" for Kyle which is an overglorified phone book with armrests. And contrary to the term "booster", it does NOTHING for performance.
Nice article, not only is it the same truck its the exact same picture jeff024 posted, and yes its photoshopped, IMHO. I think it looks better the original color.
Nice read Kartek is about a 1/2 hr from me and so are most of their Dealers. I just might cruise by one of their shops and have them take a look at my truck and see what they think! Might not have to go SFA after all.
I am having the same problem with my emergency brake. The top of my driveway is on a slight slope and when I put it in park and hit the emergency brake and take my foot off the regular brake it always rolls back a little bit. If I am parked somewhere and have the emergency brake on and go to pull fo...
Congrats on your new s-10 crewcab  If you read my signature line, you will see what all I have done to my truck. I am have been looking at this tire as well as the mud terrain. I like the agressive look of the mud terrain but I am not so sure how it will do as a tire for a daily driver. I know they make this tire in a 33x10.50 That's an option I am thinking of since I have 8" rims. I know some guys are putting...
I will have some pics soon.... ill send you some when i get them on my computer. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of your truck with the BF Goodrich mud terrains. Post them so that we all can see. Those are the same tires I am considering. How do they ride? Are they very noisey on the street?...
RidinhighS10 Good luck with your 6in SL  I believe Superlift states you can run 33x12.5 with the K776. What they won't tell you is that you will have major rubbing issues. It's not a matter of triming, you will have to cut your fenders or go with an additional bodylift. Bubaloo's fender flar...

chumley wrote:Sooo, how cold does it get in SoCal in the winter?
Cold enough to snow! I'm a 1/2 hour from the ski slopes (BIG BEAR) and a 1 hour from the beach (Huntington Beach) I have gone sking on saturday and then went to the beach on sunday, all in the same weekend
The original fender flare trim that you sent with my flares is warping and twisting. Any chance you are going to send out the right stuff to those of us that have already bought your flares?
Thanks for all your guys input but I'm going on 42 years old, been driving since I was 16 and have always poured warm water on my windshield to get the ice off and have never cracked a windshield. Maybe the conditions here aren't as drastic as where you live. But that wasn't my point anyway, I just ...
