My girlfriend finally just got a "new" car since her accident (deputy sherriff hit her then rammed her into another vehicle on the interstate in November. Where do you all fill up at?

That's a great site Brule. There's only 4 listed in the state of WV, one is only like 3 miles away! But, they arent a normal gas station.... So I'm not sure if I can actually fill up there.... I think they deal in bulk/fleet business fueling... I'll have to give em a call.

Where do you all fill up at?

Well my driving takes place 80% within 5 miles. Just long enough to get it warmed up then stop. On a average week I'd say less then 10 interstate miles. All city. Stock, I got 15 city 19 highway. That was 100% gas. Once I did the MML and the week I added 33s, gas turned to 10% ethanol. On my beach t...

I really didn't give much thought to where to fill up since 10% ethonal is standard. But which stations have the best gas for running clean, and get the most milage? I didn't know till you said it, that the pm9 had a optional external safety. That's not a feature I care for. I do love the grip safety and trigger safety of my xd. But for a carry weapon you plan to carry condition 1, there's too much going on with a external safety IMHO. I'm not sure the best way ...

I think hitting it with the throttle body cleaner did the trick. Well it didn't idle rough before I left to get the cleaner this time. That's good to know. I read the difference in the pm9 and cm9 was the rifling, metal injected parts vs machined, less curves, engraving, and 1/8" longer. Internal dimensions are the same as the pm9. Re: No heat searced posts

I'd say a flush. That fixed my problem in my 97 s10. But had never been flushed and had dex. I'm sure your thermostat is looking good?

Getting to the heater core to replace isn't fun!

Re: Another Cooling Mod thread. Bigger Radiator? E-Fans? IAT

Cool. Easy fix. Just pricey. I think I'll get another used fan assembly. It's only like $20 more (on eBay, no time to go junk yarding :( ) and I would have a spare good motor. But thanks for that suggestion. I didn't even think of that.

Re: Another Cooling Mod thread. Bigger Radiator? E-Fans? IAT

Well new problem. Fans not working. I mentioned the bad squeak months ago, well lubricant didn't fix it, it got worst and started to act like it was out of balance, just one of the two. Well, thankfully it's cold now. The fuse was blown. Easy fix I thought, replaced it. Fans started back up no probl...

Re: Looking for plastic nerf bar inserts;skids

That would be great. I broke my drivers side cover by catching it with my footware entering the vehicle after the lift. Im sure with anew one it will happen again.

Worst case, I could always use self taping screws on it, have them go through the mounts and hold it there.

Re: Avalanche help!

What kinda before and after ground clearance numbers do you got? Looks better but, still doesnt look like it has the clearance to go where the CC did? Or maybe its an illusion with the bigger body and longer wheel base? Its starting to look familer though. Does that avalanche have the HIR lightbulbs...

Aquarium stand coverted to a work bench?

My neighbor offered my this metal aquarium stand. It's pretty much extactly the same design as the wooden work bench I want to build. Pretty much all I need to do is add plywood for a bottom shelf. Some 2x4s for that shelf and the bench itself for support in the center. And add some 3/4" or so plywo...

Re: Blown ball joints..etc

Brule said it well too.

Fuel pumps seem to go bad around 100k. Alternators before that. My water pump in my old s10 went around 85000.

Check out the sticky post about the vacuum switch.

Re: Lets talk porch swings

Someone gave me another idea for mounting this thing. I think its the way im gonna do it. And will be A LOT cheaper then buying those $40 brackets plus possibly having custom u bolts made. Take some 2x6s, cut em to span the joists (i ment joists guys! not rafters! lol). He said to use one for each s...
