I can understand the eventual bailout of the CC's, with the 2004 models now 5 years old, and guys wanting to upgrade. Especially if it is your main ride.

Gotta mention I put one of those reel lights down by the inner fender and it is handy. But I also put a regular under-hood light, mounted to bottom side of hood, that comes on every time you raise the hood. Got it off ebay.

Sorry for delay, been out of town. Yes, factory u-bolts worked. Tubes are same size as our stock CC. Only thing different with the Zr2 unit is extra width. Sounds pretty good to me. Best I can get is 15, but that's doin 70-75 on our turnpike, 200 mile trip each way. Never checked my mileage on a normal 60-65 mph trip. You bump those rpm's up over 2 grand and it's gonna suck gas.

I did drill out the rivets on my TB plate and removed the entire diffuser. Yes it left 2 holes in the plate but I just put some rivets back in the holes and plugged them up. All Ok so far.

Just did it 2-3 weeks ago on my CC. All rears in 4WD S10's are same width, except the ZR2 is about 4" wider. This is what I put under my truck and it went in perfectly without a hitch. Everything matched up perfect so a straight S10 to S10 swap would also fall in place. But take it from me, the salt...

Well I'm still rounding up parts to do the change-over on my truck. Guess I better throw some Bilstiens on the pile of parts. Shock question?

Gonna do 2" BL, 1.5" Tbar crank, 2" shackles, 31x10.50 tires.

Do I need stock length shocks or what? And ours are different than ZR2?

Bed cover

Did some searching and wound up on the mod page. Thinking about a bed cover and saw the post about the aluminum bed cover from GM. Has anyone on the used it? And reckon it would work with the ZR5 rails? Wanting to keep my rails on.
