Most cameras have a crappy microphone, that's why :lol: And I think the video got encoded to mono sound, as well.... Or at least has a sample rate lower than 44100kHz, and a low bit rate as well... How much does a stock crew cab weigh? My Blazer tips the scales @ about 4200lbs. With factory rubber, at 74 MPH, I was getting 24 MPG. You should be able to break 20, easilly enough. I got 18 MPG on the last highway trip with my 30x9.5" BFG A/T's. They're a heavy tire... 7 lbs heavier than stock. :l...

A ZR2 axle should put you almost even with the front track width on a regular s-series. And track width of a ZR2 rear should be about 3" wider than a regular axle... Making the rear something like 1/4" or so wider than the front... Maybe 1/2" at most. It's also an 8.5" differential instead of your 7...

Problem with either one of these is gonna be the spare tire dropdown mechanism. :( The hole is right smack in the way, unlike the fullsize and others that have it in the bumper. That's odd... DRL's are not mandatory to have, so far as I know...

They're just required to be sold on all Canadian vehicles since 1990...

I don't think it's a requirement in the US.

Could be the ignition failing out as well...

If one of the tumblers is off by enough, the truck won't start, even if the key turns...

Unless the Crew's sit a little lower than the Blazer's, you should be able to clear BFG A/T 30x9.5s without any rubbing at all, depending on if you front suspension has settled or not...

My Blazer was fine until I put the brush guard on... Now I've got little points in my fenders :)

my dream truck will be coming out hopefully in the next couple years. the big 3 plan to debut smaller turbo diesel engines in their half-ton line up. I believe the Silverado will be getting a 4.5L Duramax that should have the same power output as the gas 5.3 but get into the low to mid 20 MPGs .......

You might get away with adding spacers to widen it out closer to the fullsize. I don't know the difference there. Our bed came from the South American Isuzu Crew Cab. The faux flare was added to make it look like the S-series bed. Check out an Hombre next time you see one. It has the same Isuzu fen...

Take some measurements to make sure the perches line up just right.

I can't remember if it's a direct bolt in or not... Should be, but always nice to double check.

Actually, It's fairly simple :p First, disable your DRL's. I know, weird first step, but stay with me here, lol. Then you need to open your dash so you can access the back of the headlight switch... There's a white wire... I can't remember if it's the only one... Splice that into the parking lamp po...

I'm pretty happy with my DNA muffler... sounds pretty good... And it's not too loud, but definitely louder than stock...

I use my park lights as DRL's...

If using DRL's does burn out bulbs sooner... They are cheaper to replace than my HIR's or HID's :lol:

The resistor is only for the automatic headlights... That system is independent from the DRL system...

They should've used gas line anti-freeze :lol: When we had our -83 in Hay River, my dad had to take the '93 Suburban to work because his Ford wouldn't start... He had to go turn the power back on, and the Suburban was on a timer for the morning... So it wasn't plugged in... It chugged, rocked, moane...

It could be they don't factor in the bridge part of it on our side... Or the ones I've seen were more than 2 degrees out...


Also, they don't read any colder than -40.

My truck throws the code for the after cat O2 sensor whenever I floor it for more than 3 seconds once the truck is at operating temps :D

I know the people with the darker colored vehicles tend to go with the black headlights, for that blacked out look :)

I found some bi-xenon projectors to squeeze into my headlights, so this should be interesting... 2x highbeams! :lol:

That's the only page I've been able to find that actually lists the stock wheel offset...

Everything else is either "about this much" or tells you how to figure out the offset if you go measure your wheel :D

It really depends on how dirty and gummed up things are for the acetone to make a major difference... It is a cleaner, after all...

I don't recall plasma being listed in the manual as a compatible fuel/energy source :lol:
When they shut off the engine, the researchers reported that it coasted on the plasma for another two minutes.
Somethings wrong if the engine keeps running after you turn it off :P

Yeah, there's not much in t the way of lockers for the 7.5" A ZR2 axle, or a regular s-series 8.5" with wheel spacers is the way to go for you, then. A non-ZR2 axle is probably easier to find... Actually a ZR2 axle will put the rear wheels a touch wider than the fronts, lol... I can't remember by ho...

The Dana's will have a different bolt pattern. Unless they have a 5x4 3/4" option, which I don't think they do...

Oops! Forgot about that...

It is indeed for second gen... 1st gens only got the 7.5" and later on the 7.625" (same casing)

99+ trucks got the 8.625" apparently... Same casing, slightly larger bearings, IIRC. Either way, it should be stamped on the axle somewhere :)

So long as it's 5-speed, it should have the 8.5" and 3-button 4x4 gives you the iron front diff :)

ZR2 or not.

If it doesn't it's a factory freak :D

There's a fair amount of lockers out for the 8.5" thankfully...

Some simple green for a few minutes, rinse, let it dry, throw it in, and you're done...

Having the A/C cycle doesn't really affect your fuel mileage much...


Uses less fuel driving down the road at 20MPH or faster, than having the windows down, lol.

I begged and pleaded with him to do Q45's but that would have put him well over 700, something I couldnt convince him to do. Is that one of those gatlin gun style projectors? :lol: If I didn't offroad at all, I'd have me a good set of custom made HID projector fog lights in my valence right now...

For a big headlight like the GMC's, you should be able to work in a fairly large HID or projector unit... The GMC lights have the potential to totally own the S10 lights, due to the massiive surface area...
