Not sure why you are saying not to use Bosch? That's what I'm running on my cc and all is fine, have two on my wife's car as well. Got them cheaper than the alternatives as well.

As far as how many on the cc, I think it is three on all models.

There is a tool for zip ties, not sure if it would work on the metal ones. It grips and pulls WAY better than our fingers can and gets them as tight as is possible.

Speaking of "cold air intakes", has anyone ever tried routing a hose from the cab to the intake, as to draw air from the AC unit? I checked mine the other day, and found that it is throwing air out at just over 42 degrees. I can't help but think that this would greatly help boost power... Maybe?

Just be sure that whatever you use to re-connect the strap pieces doesn't rub against the tank. I would probably use a rounded head on the tank side, instead of a hex head.

The gas line connectors should have a little squeeze tab on them (no tools needed) unless yours is different from mine. If they give you trouble push like you're going trying to make the connection, then squeeze and pull apart. Not sure why you wouldn't have gotten more gas out than that if you just...

Same with mine, just filled up 20 miles up the road. No drain valve, you will need to siphon. I'd recommend you get a good crank style pump, not the cheap autozone $5 bulb style. Used that one once and it wouldn't work again.

Congrats!!! Hate to see another S10 CC slip away, but can understand the needs for better mpg's. With the amount of driving I do these days, I'm seriously contemplating adding a hybrid to the stable. I CAN'T give up the little pick-up, but can't afford much more of the 20mpg either.

More good news from this story...

The paint job (which is kinda faded and worn anyway) got beat up pretty good on the bed from the bungies and tarp eyes. My wife has said that when the business gets running and we're doing ok, it's paint job time!!! Yay!

Anything is possible, given enough time and $ (mostly the $)... Given the number of 350's that have been installed in many S-10's over the years, and I don't see how there'd be much difference in the engine compartments between a standard cab and a crew-cab, I'd say it's certainly an option. After 2 years, my Rain-X blades are still going strong. Don't do any "maintenance" on them other than run some washer fluid on the windshield once in a while. This is the longest ANY wipers have lasted, and considering the desert environment, I'm really impressed. Let's see how much longer they go.

Bad grounds (especially not quite fully open) are real buggers to chase down, and can cause MANY weird problems. I've spent more hours than I care to admit, chasing bad grounds on all kinds of equipment.

Works really well (I think), I've even used it to move aircraft around at the airport (up to Citation size). I prefer pushing rather than cranking the neck around or trying to "mirror" it, just another issue with getting older I guess. I used to be really good and really fast at backing trailers aro...

Don't have one on the CC (yet), but on my F-150. Basically it looks like they just used square tube to brace the frame (x2) and then put a square tube across those to the front bumper for the receiver.

Same with the ozone, I believe, it goes in cycles... Earth gets hot, ozone opens up, heat goes out. Earth gets cold, ozone closes up, heat comes back... At least that's my take on things.
