Is there any benefit to removing the pre-cat?

I found a shop that is willing to remove it for me if I pay in cash and swear I will never tell :thumb:

Well, I crawled under the truck today and I can't see where there's a drain on the underside. I remember seeing vehicles having what looked like a hose coming down over on the passenger side that you could get a coathanger up into to make sure there were no restrictions. Yep, I figured it might only serve as a signal
and not as the power source.

If it's going to be too complicated, I could always
use the Flex-A-Lite control module which is pretty
easy to setup and seems to be reliable.

Well, I had a discussion going about this on the HP Tuners board and
that came up but nobody, including myself, really caught on that what
I was experiencing was not VATS related.

I think it was assumed that the VATS system was somehow causing
this by not being in sync.
But, now I know... :idea:

I've always had good results with the Monroe's lifetime shocks,
but I may try the Bilsteins now that I have a new S10 to work with.

Any idea how they handle warranty replacement?

I assume you buy a new set, and ship the old ones

Yeah, I can't reverse mine because the passenger

I've heard people do that, but I've also heard that
this makes it much easier for criminals to get
into your vehicle using a coat hanger.

Yeah, but that's only a temp fix that you have to do each time you start up your truck. It gets old quick. I've been running with this resistor setup and it's working great. Yep, I got a nice reel light too from a Surburban.
I'm going to eventually install that one too, but
I also want the one that comes on by itself
on the back side of the hood.

That's how the one on my '96 works.
There's no visable switch or anything so it must
be one of those mercury setups.

probably take that off and put it on my '03 truck.

I'm giving the '96 truck to my wife's son so I'll buy

today I went to Radio Shack and tried to get a 1000 ohm resistor, 1/4 watts, but all they had was the 1/2 watts in 1000 ohms. So, I guess I'll go back tomorrow and get the 2.2k (2200) ohm resistor with a one or two watt rating. Think this is a safe thing to do that won't fry anything in the electric...

I never had a single dispute with GM...I just fork out a few bux for parts and fix it! But, on the other hand, I never buy new vehicles either. Thanks...It does look alot better with these wheels. Speaking of these wheels, I bought this set brand new almost 3 years ago, long before I got this 03 truck since I knew these were the ones I wanted. Got the complete set including new lug nuts, lug nut covers, and center pieces off of eBay for $57...
