I got the Winmaster roof rack shown on the roof rack page. The next purchase will be a bike rack since my bike won't fit in the bed. Or maybe a safari rack.(Insert Homer Simpson drool sound here)

So, the roof rack installation went flawlessly. I was afraid that the wax dipped screws included with the kit wouldn't seal very well. But apparently they know what they're doing. Torrential downpours all days today and not a hint of a leak from the holes in the roof. How do I post pics in this forum?

I just installed an aftermarket roof rack to my CC this weekend. Took my time...it went flawlessly. Still can't believe I drilled holes in my roof :( I took the precaution of buying a drill stop set. Glad I did. When the bit pops through, it really POPs through the sheet metal! I am a little concern...

That's pretty much what all the aftermarket racks look like. Plus, I'm assuming they're a heck of a lot cheaper than going to the dealer for one. Looks like you can get a really nice, yet still wimpy looking, roof rack for around $150. That surprised me. I thought they would be a lot more expensive....

I got the 1.5" spacers from AIM. I think they were right at $115 with shipping.



From what the guy at AIM told me, you should be able to order spacers with 12mm studs. You just have to tell them when you order them.

I called AIM and they told me that they come with whatever is standard for that size spacer unless they are told otherwise. Apparently that was 1/2" I called Advance Auto, they said they had all sorts of lug nuts in all sizes, so I shouldn't have a problem with finding two different sizes in the sam...

Okay...so, I go to put my long awaited spacers on last night...and...they came with 1/2" studs instead of 12mm. Did I screw the order up or did they? I don't remember ever being asked what size studs when I ordered my spacers. If it is my fault. AIM will not take them back, so...what are my options?...

I don't know that there is anything really wrong with my brakes. I might just still be getting used to the fact that this truck weighs over twice what my last truck weighed. But I seem to be pushing the brakes really hard when I get close to where I want to stop.

I bought some of that rubber bed rail protector from J.C. Whitney that is self-adhesive. Stuck it to the side rails...It is the perfect height to make the bed cover fit flush with the tail gate and bed front(?).



I've had mine on since October, and it doesn't leak even at the carwash!

Hopefully they won't have to paint anything. None of the parts were creased, so they thought thay could straighten out the original hood and fender. Hopefullt they won't have to paint anything.

I'm no tire engineer, but it looks like all of those little pockets on each of the lugs would trap water and hydroplane like a mother in the rain. Just my very uneducated opinion....

Only thing that might be a drawback is that if you have slight rubbing issues now with the swaybar connected, they'll only get worse with it disconnected. Since I got the new 30" tires I had no rubbing issues with the swaybar connected...even when coming over the curb into my driveway at almost full...

I JUST put a set of BFG AT KO 30X5.5-15's on my BONE stock crew. I don't think there's any way they will ever rub. Somebody said it...the stock Wrangler RT/S BLOW(...SUCK, your choice) big time. I've searched the old post, and someone made mention of an airbox mod. What's this involve? Besides cutting up the airbox, that is. I'm not quite ready to start hacking up the airbox on my '03 yet. Removing the silencer? Anyone got a link to a site that shows this mod?

LAPTOP cable / programming / scanning software ?

Almost forgot! While we're on the topic of ECU mod's....



Does anyone know where to get the cable/software so that I can hook my Palm into the maintenance port? Or even my laptop for that matter.

Does anyone know if the Hypertech will work with my 03? I keep checking te listings for it wherever I can find it, but I have only seen that it would work with as late as the 02 model.

That makes enough sense for me. So...the feeling of it having no power is just in my head. I mean other than the parasitic losses of having the fan directly connected to the motor...I half suspected that all along.

Engine sounds like a 747 on take-off.....

What gives with the engine when it's cold? I've noticed that sometimes, not all of the times, when I first start the truck the engine roars like it pulling in enormous amounts of air for the first 30 seconds or so. It has absolutely no power for all the noise it makes. Then...it quiets down and runs...
