Iam running a clamp on tone ring from Advanced adapters and I put that on the tail shaft of the trans and drilled and taped the t case adaptor for the vss , truck wil shift wright in double low speedo just reads fast in low or double low , but at least the trans has more them manual 1-2

Oh and as for needing the pinion if you pull a used g80 , I would just grab the carrier / posi unit and swap your ring gear, your pinion depth is already set so all you need it worry about is back lash so measure what your rear end is now , then measure with the new / used posi installed it you have...

Open your glove box and look for the rpo codes G80= posi Gu4= 3.08 Gu5= 3.23 Gu6= 3.42 Gt4= 3.73 Gt5= 4.10 My bet is you have 3.73 and g80 , 2nd would be 3.42 open And what's you reason for wanting to add a posi ? If it were me I would consider a lunch box locker if you are open rear , but Iam a off...

i would put 1/3 in the gas tank.. start the truck , and pore 1/3 in the breake booster line... let it kill the truck or turn off ... .pull the lid of the tb and pour the rest down the intake ,, let sit for 5 min and then let the smoke show start !!!

Hello!! Just came along this site thought I would drop in and stake my claim! I have a 2002 S10 Crew! With a custom solid front axle leaf spring suspension. It is on 33" Kumho Mud terrains, has a dana 30 in front for now, and a ford 8.8 in back for now!! Total lift is about 8 inches; 10 with tires!...

there are plenty of guys running v8s with no cooling problems and even towing big loads with ac on in 100 plus, and the front diff would hold up too as long as your not throled happy on the trails. i know i had a v8 blazer and i towed a 3500 pound trailer in 97 deg(ac on) weather over to eastern ore...

i vote for the oregon rig!!!! California rigs are picky imop, plus 17" tires are expencive, and 3000 bucks could go a long ways towards making it the rig you want!!! becuse stock dosnt work for you i know. lol

lol i dont know if i could ever get what i got in that blazer, in my cc but i would be VERY HAPPY with 17 in town ,maby if iam lucky 20 hwy :) but i will be happy with the v8s power when i hook up to a trailer no mater what mpg i get lol

lol my truck just hit 92000 the other day with a complet over haul @ 70,000 on gm( long story) but iam tired off only geting 14-15mpg with 4.56 gears and 35s, plus i have a 18foot car trailer i tow to the coast with 5 quads on it and i dont want to have to take 2 trucks , so i can play on the sand. ...

i like it coming out the sides of the bed like stock but on both sides, i never have been a fan of straight out the back looks to much like a car to me, iam going to mod my one day with the tips that go threw the bed sides one day for a little more clearince off road. if you think it sounds good now...

the pizza place at dimond lake, by crater lake makes great hand made pizza to, but bring bug spray its really expencive there, i payed 12 bucks for 3 bucks worth of it. you WILL need it lol

took it down to my local exhast shop with a 3" dual 2.5 out orgianl 40s folwmaster and 120 bucks and 1 hour later it was done stock spare still fits , not that it helps me much lol

i have a single 3" in dual 2.5 out flowmaster and i get asked all the time how i did a v8 swap , but its just a stock 4.3 with a cold air intake and flowmaster muffler, hears a link you can kinda hear how it sounds in the video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnI6TSTDOpE

ya hopefully one of these years i will make a trip to moab, and i will swing by. i cant wate to swap in a vortec 350 so i will have power to tow my other toys and get beter mpgs then 14-15, iam hoping for closer to 17-20 with the v8 . my 97 4x4 gmc serria with 180,000 still gets 17 with 33s.

ok guys i know i didn't give you an up date on my truck but hear it goes. it did turn out to be a plugged cat. but i only got another 10 000 out of a new cat and we don't have deq so i just cut the cat out and have had no problem with it now and the truck has morphed in to a totally different truck ...

up date. they did start the motor with the bolt in the intake and turned it off. so they pulled the head and sent it in to have it reworked. and they replaced the piston . oh and they replaced the intake gaskes the first go around. and this guy that worked on my truck is 1of20 gm world class tec. wh...

i have a single 3'' in duel 2.5 out 40s flowmaster normally have a 30'' spare up there. sounds great . my exhaust guy had no problems at all and it only took him a 1.5 hours and i had it back. i dont like the look of duels coming out the back. so my duels come out the sides almost in the factory spo...

well my cc has about 66,000 on it. I might look in to that injecter up grade. oh and i have a 2'' body lift with home made shackles in the rear with t-bar keys in front, with fender glass fenders in front. only spot it rubs is on the frame when you crank it all the way. but not at all in normal driv...
