Test drove a Colorado

I have to say I am really only impressed by the exterior looks and larger bed. I drove a sunburst orange z71 crew cab. The interior still felt somewhat cheap, but that could also be related to the fact that I drove one with the stupid rainbow gay cloth seats. When driving the truck you can notice ho...

When I get the bulletin I will let you guys know. It may be a few weeks, as I have to wait for the parts to come in. However I may end up getting this fixed and getting a Colorado. I think this may be the time to buy.

Taking mine in next week for the Balance Shaft, chain tensioner kit. I am tired of listening to that rattle/growling noise at about 1800 rpm.............The dealer did not even know of this kit untill I gave him the info posted on this forum! A NEW FIX IS NOW AVAILABLE AS OF 12-31 I went to my dealer yesterday for an oil change and to order the parts for the balance shaft bulletin. My truck is still under warranty with 18k on the clock. The guy who owns the dealership has been our GM salesperson for about 10 years now. I was sitting in h...

Do the Crew Cabs have the wiring harness behind the blank panel for the air bag switch? I would like to put the switch from a regular S10 into my Crew Cab so I can turn off the air bag for my 9 year old daughter. Thanks, Steve On my '03, it looks like the wiring is there. Basically there are wires ...

I am really kind of #### on how a steering wheel feels. My favorite car ever was my dad's 96 Vette because the steering wheel had like a 3 inch diameter, I love the feel of my steering wheel and don't want to lose it by putting on a plastic cover. Thanks for the input.

From looking online the steerings wheels for s-10/blazer/denali/yukon/suburban/escalade all mount the same. So my airbag should just transfer over. I compared a steering wheel like mine to the one oabove and the pattern is the same.

Steering wheel mod.

I have always wanted a steering wheel with wood ever since I drove a car with one. So how hard is it to remove my steering and swap this one and put my air bag and what not on it?

Where to buy splash guards that will fit a ZR5?

My dealer is paying me for whatever set I buy. They ordered some molded GM ones but they don't fit with the wheel flare, there was a decent gap. So I am wondering where I can get some. Conman did you ever get some? I could of sworn you did.

Thanks

They must have upgraded the S-10 leather seats for '03 because those are exactly the same as my seats. Those aren't the door panels I was thinking of. The ones that I saw and I am not sure what year they were, were more of pleated leather that matched the seats. Thanks for the responses.

Blazer Door Panels

Does anybody know if the leatrher door inserts from a blazer LT would work on out truck. I know the door panel won't fit becasue of the rear wheels. But On the LT's they have leather vs. the regular plastic that you get on a s-10 even if you get leather.

Thanks,

I will do that. Did you lose stuff like your exterior temp and door chimes or anything, because I have been told that you will lose that without the appropriate wiring harness? Thanks for your help.

Definitely replace your head unit. The sound problems with the stock system are all in the head unit. It's what is distorting at higher volume...not the speakers. I replaced my head unit with a basic JVC CD and the improvement as phenomenal. Also consider the Bazooka RS6A-HP powered sub...very good...
