If you have went through 2 breakers now, you might want to see what gauge wiring you have to the outlets. Also check what all is on that same circut at once. Too small of wiring and too many loads on that circut will make the breaker run warm. That is probaly what is killing the breaker.

I used silicone to hold the ones on the jeep. Get a good amount inside the flares edges. Lean something against it until it dries. Or use a clamp.

I have read all the threads about the shocks that I could find. And there were a lot of them! . Not a 50/50% member boot up or boot down. But it does seem that most all that reported boot down members changed over from Ranchos like myself.

Got the shocks and installed them today. Same issue as the Ranchos. Had to run them upsidedown and without the boots to clear the CV boots. But they work great! If you install new ones, add a spot of clear silicone at each inside corner. The 3-M double sided tape holds great when it's new. But after a couple years of weather and washings, it looses its holding power.

Your sockets are called 6-point and 12-point. Both have their purpose. The 6-point sockets are good at breaking bolts loose. They tend to fit tighter with more surface area. The 12-point sockets are good for stripping the heads!

I have a set of the Craftsman socket style bolt removers. They are GOLDEN! I have used them several times on rounded brake caliper bolts. I got them for $20 a set. Money well spent. The right tool does make a difference for sure.

I got a new nut and bolt from our local auto store. The clip is beefier but I don't know if I like the tube type nut. I used a little locktite and a jam-nut at the end for good measure.

I just replaced the bearings and seals on my 03. The passenger side bearing was cracked in 2 places and the seal was leaking. After replacing both, the thing still leaks. I am thinking maybe it's a crack in the axel bearing housing.

Plastic! Expanding, contracting and cold weather dont mix. I found that using Armour All in the winter stops most of these creeks and pops. Most people only use it in the summer when they clean the truck. Spary it on and let it seep into the cracks. Wipe off the surface the next day.

It was 11 degrees out this morning. I let the truck run and warm up for 5 min before I drop my son off at school 1 mile away. I have to turn the blower off it gets that warm. Gotta love it! Now the full size company Chevy van is another story.

I have about the same set-up as BobbleSmitty but with 31s. I don't have the wheel spacers and the front tires do rub at full lock. Looking at getting a set of spacers soon. Thanks for all the tips. I already tried the pan bolts. Not too worried about the oil spots. Just hoping it doesn't keep getting worse. I plan on pulling the tranny this summer for a rebuild. Figure that will be a good time to replace the RMS. If it hold up.

We use to drill a hole in the cover (diff, tranny, transfer case ect...) and weld a nut over it. Then epoxey a magnet to the end of the drain bolt. Works good. Maybe every one already knows this, I didn't figure it out until I removed it all the way. But a 1/4" socket extension fits the drain plug perfect. Don't bother with the screwdriver.
