So far I love it...wouldn't go back. I just got back from Autozone which has a tight parking lot. I was able to maneuver this big thing better than the Crew, it turns so tight I didn't have to back up where I usually do to get out of the driveway. I like it alot, but I have no reason to post picture...

The ball joints seem to be holding up better as they are bigger. There were two different front sets of brakes offered. The police package had bigger brakes. That would be desirable. Check for leaks at the waterpump, front axle seals and transfercase tailshaft housing. Give it a roll back and forth...

They seem to handle the Dex better. There are still heater hose connection corrosion issues and the water pump failures may have Dex as a contributing factor. Mostly they do not have Dex issues. Im looking at a 2003 Z71 Tahoe Saturday it has 76,000 miles on it. How do these things do as far as ball joints etc. do they have weak points like ours? This one is super clean for the miles.

Next coolant change going back to the stock temp termostat?

I don't get my truck warmed up in the winter driving to work 2.5 miles down hill. In cold weather wait too long for heat. With all my short trips wouldn't it be better to go from the 180 to the 195 fail safe thermostat?

Took way longer than expected. I detail stuff as I go. First side took 4 hours :oops: the second side took 3 hours. I put new urethane snubbers in and new Hawk front pads on while apart. The 33mm socket worked, I finally bolted my vise to the work bench and bought a 250 foot LB torque wrench at Sears on sale (it had crappy reviews). The arm is on ready to install the ZQ8 steering box when I rebuild the front end next month. All Moog parts. :D

Today I put the United brand distributor in, as a warning stated in an early post the gear may be 180 degrees off. Mine was, I couldn't get the rotor to aline with the mark I made from the old location. After turning the gear 180 all went well :D

They didn't change the oil when they did this job. They changed oil when they did my daughters Bravada but it had green in it. I assume dex doesn't kill bearings like green. I changed the oil yesterday I had put about 200 miles on it I know there wasn't much dex in the oil but the residue on the ins...

That's where the ones came from I put on my wifes car, ebay link they used to have a nice vinyl covering and a cork coaster. I see now they cost alot less and arn't as nice. I stuck them fast with 3M super tape which will adhere to brick.

That price for the Putco seems expensive for the small insert. If you want the light to light look like mine, you need to buy a 99-2000 Blazer LS grill and bumper filler strip.
