You think if you took a stock truck and did the swap, you would see a 40hp difference??

I mean thats not a crapload at 230 total but with the relative torque we make, wouldnt it feel like a vortec 350 motor swap? Only thing is Im sure it kills low end torque...

No pictures but I didnt say that these were all inclusive either :wink: I just know that you can use the factory computer and harness. You do NOT need a new pcm or wiring harness. All you have to do is adapt leads from the stock injector harness with plugs that fit on "normal" injectors. The computer will need a re-tune but it will run the truck just fine.

Mines at the dealership today getting the drivers pins replaced. They have to reweld and drill mine. More egg shaped and bushing totally gone...but for $180 bucks, its worth it in my eyes.

fx35's are 60mm units if I remember correctly. 2.5" otherwise. Just do FX35's, lens diamater doesn't make a difference in output over 2". There are alot of different factors that make a bigger difference, and FX's are the best value out there right now

black chrome would be totally doable. Anytime you add black to the reflector equation you are inherently gonna cut down on output, but more important is surface texture and reflective property. Chrome is pretty damn good to start with, it would take some mean black pigment to make you think twice...

What side did you put that sub on? my buddy just put one of those pioneer shallow mount 10's in his CC and he had to go on the jack side and remove the bracket just to get it all to fit. Did you go that route as well? Pics?

I speak from experience that you dont use the tranny/engine connecting bolts to seat the torque converter :bonk: I did a filter/shift kit on a TH350 once, put on the new motor in above stated fashion, got it all together, no gears. Dropped tranny, replaced pump, got it all back in, nothin, no gears....

Ya know, I had that exact same problem with an aftermarket bracket. I had to switch one side back to the stock bracket as the other side was using a stock bracket, and it fit fine on the first attempt.

Did your truck come with low beam DRL's stock? I know mine were high beams from the factory.

ohhhohohoho now that makes sense! Yah, we can just either disable them or let the truck do it for us. I know some trucks( not sure why) use the low beams for DRL's but I am sure we can jump that hurdle when the time comes.

for offroad HID's you cant beat that price with a stick!!! You would be hard pressed to find the daggon electronics for that! If your voltages are dropping to 10 you have problems and need to upgrade the wiring harness. Thats just it, you upgraded your alternator. Only to match the loads I have added. These bulbs produce white light, rated at 3600 Kelvin color temperature Not a big deal really. White is nice as our eyes are more sensitive to it.
