I believe my transfer case is continuously engaged, 2003 CC. It shifts in and out of 4 wheel drive ok and the axles engage. Is there something I can disconnect to troubleshoot the problem? Don't want to drive it around like that till I can get the right part.

The 4.3 engine use's a 90 degree block. Its the center line between the middle of the pistons to the middle of the crank. Just like the 350 or small block v8. The 90 degree set up has alot of vibrations thats why GM installed a balance shaft. I think a other v6 motors were set up at 60 degrees.
