Or look on the GM site by trying to price a Blazer, they usually show the 2wd ZR2.

On the exterior they look exactly like a 4x4 ZR2, underneeth they look the same too, just with lots of stuf missing.

Yep it was made. There was a big discussion on this over at ZR2.com before it closed.

It is a normal ZR2, minus the T-case, diff, driveshafts, etc. I believe that other than the missing parts the only different parts were the spindles.

Dang, thats what I was afraid of. This one project, that I was hoping would be FREE, is turning into a nightmare. I was so happy that this truck only took an hour and a half to undo the front suspension where as the other truck took 5 hours, but then this truck bites me on the last bolt (it was actu...

Rusty bolt, need some help.

How can rust both hold stuff together better then welding, yet is also tears stuff apart. I'm stuck, I'm trying to swap suspensions between my trucks (all lifetime warrenty stuff in the old truck and I'm going to sell it) and one of the controll arm bolts has rusted to the sleve in the bushing. How ...

Something nobody has touched on yet is a Zexel Torsen rear carrier. These are readily available from Camaro/Firebird rear ends, and are magnificent performers for the rear on these trucks. I've got one installed on the rear of my Xtreme, and it performs WONDERFULLY. The idea behind these is that th...

I'm assuming the Blazer in you Avatar? In my 99 Bravada none of little tricks work (aka, dome over ride or emergency brake). In mine the dome override button does nothing to the DRL's. I'm not sure if the emergency brake will override the DRL's, but I'm fairly sure that the AHL's will turn on the he...

6 point has more surface area in contact with the bolt head reducing the possability of rounding the head.

12 can be more convient in tight places as the socket does not have to be "just right".

As HJ said though, a quality 12 point can still be better than a cheap 6 point.

A ZR2 would result in a rear track just over 2" wider than the front. IMO that would be to wide to look right, even with the extra buldge the CC has in the rear. Also, isn't the spring pearch width wider on the ZR2 axle. Honestly I don't know, but I would imagine it would be with the wider frame and...

I agree on the wires. Pull the front tires and check the wires, for a start. It's probably that one thing is not related to the other, it just happened to be related. Just had this happen to me as a matter-of-fact, and although the system was the same between the problem and the work I did, the prob...

Camaro-Cooling Mods Tech-Cooling Systems Couple links that are good reading. Not sure I agree with everything, but still good reading. I'm just wondering where he is feeding the coolant to on the back of the block. I suppose you could drill and tap into the cooling jacket on the block, but I'm not ...

Do these clutches have the thermostat on the front like most clutches? Can you modify the thermostat to engage the fan earlier?
