Thanks for that tip..I didn't think about the gas mileage thing, and considering that I am already getting around 12-14 mpg on the frwy. Don't want to get any worse..LOL

Hey guys I'm just wondering if taking the fan and clutch assembly out and replacing those with a "Flex-fan" blade would be any better?? :?: Being that I tow a 3500lb detail trailer around 6 days a week, and these hot days kill my horsepower!

I just had my tranny fully rebuilt. At 118k in the middle of arizona it decieded to quit. Cost me $2,200.00 to rebuild. when i bought my 02 in dec 01 brand new the dealer said it was the only one that they were going to get new. sticker was 26,500 and I don't see a whole lot of them, its great when people ooh and ahh at it!!! I think we can all agree that we ALL have one cool truck!

Oil Pump New Engine

I own an 02 S-10 Crew which I bought brand new and it currently has 97,000 miles on it. The oil pump has been giving me problems and it finally went out which caused me to throw a rod. Now I have to put a brand new long block in it!!! I can't believe it. Anyone else have problems with there oil pump...

... skid plates were never available for the crew cabs. They fit. Just never offered as an option. Chevrolet did offer the skid plate package for the crew cabs in 2002 and up as an option. check out a broshure from the 02 year.
