Kinda related to the subject... the company I work for is the biggest user of GPS in the eastern U.S. We have it on all of our dozers, several pans(scrapers) even a few excavators. We use Trimble. Very nice- to be able to work an entire jobsite without any stakeout from surveyors is friggin' awesome...

Are you a hoe operator? I ran some Iron up until about a year ago, now I'm a foreman. I still get in the seat occasionally

I'm just looking to give my old 4x4 wheels to a kid next door to put on his 2wd S10. Free. They will look better than the gray stockers he has on there now. I was just wondering if they would fit on a 2wd. They are 15x7 and don't know for sure the backspacing- 3.5-4"? I'll let him try them on his tr...

there's actually 10 holes in the rim -5 for each bolt pattern. I'm with you about him pulling the wheel but they weren't home yesterday and I was on here so I figured I'd ask, even to satisfy my own curiosity.

Ball joints

OK so I got the Moog ball joints in the mail yesterday. I've never done ball joints in anything but I consider myself mechanically inclined. I want to try this myself but may farm it out b/c of lack of time lately. Anyone done theirs? Advice? Besides, my dad's a TV repairman- he's got an awesome set...

Well I ordered me up a set from Summit last night- $49 ea top, $42 bot. Tried to order online but the only bottom ball joints it would list for it were 83-94. Gave up online and did it the old- fashioned way  Nice to know I'm getting the right parts.

I'm with ya on that. I'd shell out the extra coin for a stronger part especially in the steering. Wouldn't want that to break while I'm cruising down the highway, especially with the kids in the truck. A woman I work with had a 4 dr Blazer- swerved to miss a deer, flipped over and made the roof the ...

Chumley was given to me by a guy at work who gives everyone nicknames, kinda like the company clown. If anyone is old enough to remember Tennessee Tuxedo ( I don't and I'm 37) and I didn't know this until about 3 yrs after I got this nickname that Chumley is a big dumb looking walrus! Oh well I gues...

Well the Blazer isn't a DD. I have a company truck and since I bought the Blazer in March I've only put a little over 1k on it. At that rate they would probably be dryrotted before they wear out!

Hey Somecrew

I read in one of your posts that the Thornbirds on your truck were a freebie( if I remember right). I have always liked the looks of them but don't know anyone that had a set on their rig. What do you think of them? I think you said something was up with the back ones. Would you buy a set or is this...

Hello from PA. I see that you have a couple Blazer owners, wasn't sure if you allowed Blazer guys here. Found this site while on another site searching for fender flares for my truck. Already been in contact via e-mail with bubbaloo. Great site, lots of good info! 8) So hello from PA!
