I try to keep the RPMs below 2000 when acelerating too .
I still seem to only get about 186 miles to a tank , with about 4 gallons left in the tank when I go to refill .
I just had a tune up , but I don' think stuff like the PCV valve has been looked at , where is it ?

Ultimate Fuel Efficiency Thread

I have been looking around trying to find all the little "tricks" , mods and/or adjustments to get the best fuel economy out of the 4.3 V6. There were a few threads scattered through out the web , each with some good and bad ideas . I thought that it may be a good idea ( with rising fuel prices ) th...

that is true , the 4.3 v6 is not a effecient engine at all . It has the displacment close to some V8's and not the power . i don't know much about the nissan/toyota v6's but generally they will be a better engine . Not to say that the GM 4.3V6 is Bad , but it could be better , I agree . But it could...

Oh I agree it could be better too . Would be nice if it was easier to work on , got better mpg . But it is a time tested success . Has been used for many many years with a relatively good reputation . It is basically a Small Block Chevy V8 with 2 less cylinders . The internals are strong too . many ...

Although the diesel would be great , I must say that the 4.3 v6 is a pretty good engine too . A little bit bad on gas , but tough .
Now if only the front end/transfer case was as reliable.

Imagine if there was a SFA S10 in production overseas ! then we would be really pissed off .

Every time someone posts up a thread about the Izuzu/s10 from overseas , I just get really mad a GM for not making that version available to the NA market .
I wonder how much a diesel engine swap would cost ?
Seems it fits nicely in the engine bay .
I like that front end alot too .

Is it just me or do we all feel nervous and anticipatory for the results of the mounting of these tires ? Even though I think that the 33x9.5 tire has it's advantages over a 10.5 , ( when concerning our front ends) I do have to say the 10.5's do look better . Maybe with the added stress of a wider t...

Oh it was 99 .

I hope that it is up to "par" with Fords interiors , they are very very nice . And that they didn't go on the basis that the Canyon/Colorado interiors are "nice" .

not bad looking , needs larger tires I think though , nothin like huge 35's , but a bigger oem tire to fill the wheel well gaps
And put the HD Duramax hood on it too .
I hope the interior is well updated , they have had the same basic interior since 1995 I think .
Can't wait to see more .

well hopefully the person making the bumpers will have a contact number or site OUTSIDE of ZR2USA.com . Sorry But The Person Who Will Be Making These Bumpers Is The Owner/Founder Of zr2USA.com. :( So am I correct to assume that they will not be offered to purchase by anyone other than a ZR2 owner ?...

Well , I didn't do anything , and the damn truck is running just as good as it ever did .
Still a little rough at idle every so often , and a squeek in the one of the Accessorie drive belt wheels .
But atleast it is running .
I am going to give it a SeaFoam treatment on Monday .
