Funny that you should bring that up...I just acquired the EfiLive tuning/monitoring program and cable, and it just so happens that it works on our trucks! It comes with a full monitoring suite that you can see everything from TPS (% and voltage) to mass airflow sensor reading, manifold vacuum, even ...

Yes, it will go into lock mode if it isn't your original radio. And I believe even if it is your original radio, it goes into theftlock mode after a certain number of minutes...not sure on that though. Each radio has the VIN number stored in it, so people can't steal yours and put it in their car. Y...

Been where possibly no Crew has ever been before

I've been called insane for this by most of my friends, but I call it fun...I took my truck out to Buttonwillow Raceway this past weekend! :D My dad was taking his car out, and I've been needing to get rid of these Uniroyals, so I figured the best way to get rid of tires was at the race track :mrgre...

In snow and ice at low speeds the locker works great for me, it's pretty seamless. But in the rain I can feel it engage if the back end starts to break loose, and sometimes it can lock and upset the back and promote a little oversteer. Once you are moving it rarely locks though, but that usually isn...

Rusty, I have the same problem as you, except when I use 87, it starts pinging almost immediately and there is some loss of power since the knock sensor is taking out timing, especially at higher RPMs. I've tried different gas station's 87 octane with no luck... :? I figure the extra $2-3 a tank is ...

I have a question for HenryJ about the bazooka install. What was the easiest way to run power from the battery to behind the backseat? I'm thinking about getting 2 6.5" bazookas  to put behind the backseat and I was just curious to see how you guys routed the power cable. Once again, thanks...

Rear sway bar question

Ok, I got all the parts for the rear sway bar mod in the mail yesterday, and I ran into a slight problem....The bushings(part#15697706) don't fit! Everything else seems to fit fine, but the inside diameter of the bushings is 19mm and the sway bar is 23mm. :?: Is the part # wrong on the mod page? A p...

I installed a Magnaflow cat-back system on my truck and I really like it. It's fairly quiet below 3000rpm, but gets nice and loud above. It was easy to install, however they did not send me a new exhaust gasket or the bolts for the flange to the catalytic converter. Don't know if they forgot to put ...

Performance gains with basic mods (Track times)

Just took my truck out to the DSIR (Deserted Street International Raceway) and did a few acceleration runs with my Beltronics accelerometer. I just recently installed the hypertech programmer and the cat-back Magnaflow exhaust, along with a K&N filter, and here's the best of 2 runs....(brake ...

Magnaflow exhaust discoloring

I just installed a new stainless steel cat-back Magnaflow exhaust on my CC, and after only ~100-150 miles the exhaust pipe after the cat is dark purple and almost black from heat discoloration. The pipe just before the exhaust tip also looks kinda purpleish :? .... I wouldn't think the exhaust tempe...
