What would be damaged? I maybe missing something. The wheel was bent away from wheel flange and the spacer is trapped between the wheel and hub. I never thought of it, but I'll take it into work and have one of the guys measure the run out on them both.

Thanks for the warning/heads up, HenryJ

Been a long time since I've been on here. Ugh No time... Any whos, I had 1.25" spacers on the back of mine. I really liked the look and the fact that it made the truck handle better. Unfortunately, I got into an accident and the truck got hit on the left rear wheel (bent the wheel and axle). It bent...

Has anyone bought these yet?

I keep seeing these on eBay and I thought I saw a thread about them, but I haven't found it yet. Has anyone bought them or have a picture of a S10 with them on. I think they are either going to look really good or really bad.

Thanks

I agree with barch, do some research and decide for yourself. I did research in September 04 and I decided to go XM. I love it and never listen to regular radio (or is it 'Free FM' now?). I also replaced my stereo and it made a huge difference. I bought a Sony with an Aux in. It works great for the ...

Stainless or Chrome Bug Shield

Does anyone have one of these? I would like to see a picture of one and I haven't found one yet. I'm thinking it will either look really good or really bad with my chrome bumpers. Any input?

Thanks

The speaker doesn't fit right now. I have to do some more cuttin'. I would rather not have to cut the metal. I wonder if the door panel would fit back on with the extension ring? I'll have to see what I can find. Thanks Barch

Rear Speaker Help

I bought 4 Audiobahn AS65Q to replace my door speakers. The problem I am having is the speakers won't fit into the rear doors. The mounting depth is 1½" and Crutchfield and the eBay MobileToys said they would fit. I'm afraid to mount them and mess up the rear windows lowering the whole way. For anyo...

Power Wire Help

I need to run a power wire from the battery into the cab for my Bazooka tube. Where is the best place? I did some searching and there seems to be 2 options: - Passenger footwell - There is a grommet there with one wire in it already. Is this the antenna wire and if so, will that cause interference w...

I read a study that a bed cover does not increase the MPG. It was a college study. Then I read another study that said it did and it was another college study.

Sorry for the confusion. In PA, its called a truck cap. It seems that in other places it is called a truck topper. I'm not sure which is the correct terminology.

I put one on my truck last night. I may replace the other stock one, also. It must have stretched when I only had one on.

Thanks BassGuy. Who would have thought of going to a parts store to get a tailgate cable?! A parts store? I didn't.

I recently got 19.7 without the recently added cap and 21 with the cap installed. They were all highway miles, cruise control set at 75.

Cap (Topper) Install

I recently bought a cap. I have a few questions for those who have installed one. - Did you cut the bedliner off where is goes over the front rail? If not, what did you do about the difference in bed rail heights? - What style of weather stripping did you use? I just have put an extra layer of 3/8 t...

DRL Disable

I'm not sure if someone else has posted this before, but anyway... I think I found a way to turn off the DRL. It also seemed to disable the auto-on lights also. If you push the Dome Override button in and out 4 times, you will hear a beep and the lights turn off. You have to do it kind of fast, like...

How do you install white face gauges without removing anything? I know you have to remove the dash, but how? I've never done this because I didn't want to remove the needles (and have them wrong forever) or break the cover.

Thanks

Hate to ruin your day, but my friend who had a Blazer with basically the same lift you have went through ball joints about every 3-6 months. You might be in the same boat. On a good note, he bought his ball joints at Auto Zone and they have a warranty on them, so he would end up getting 2 or 3 for f...

Why do you have to remove the handle? I was hoping to just remove the bracket on the side of the tailgate. This job is not going to be as easy as I thought.

I'm wondering why somone would replace the receiver and still have the stand alone XM receiver? I bought a Roady2 because I wanted XM in the truck, the car and in my office. I think it might also fit into the ashtray. I was thinking of trying that also. I also thought about putting it above the rear view mirror also. There isn't a good spot to mount a bracket though. There is 1 screw holding the front of the overhead console on, but I was worried it would spin. I am goi...

I have a Roady2 in mine. I made a bracket that attaches to the heater controls and is front of the ashtray. You can still get into the ashtray. I'll try to remember to take a picture of it for you, if you want to see it.

I have one broke as well. I don't know how to just replace the cable without the latch. The factory cable is riveted to the latch. I'm not sure if there is room to put a bolt there instead. I've seen the ones on eBay, but they are just the cable.

Tailgate Cables

Long time visitor, first time poster. Thanks for all the free info.

Has anyone replaced a tailgate cable? I broke one recently and look at it quickly and it looks like the end that is attached to the tailgate looks like it is riveted to the bracket. Anyone else seen this?

Thanks
