yeah, buying the unit would be easy, but it's a small device with 4 wires coming out of it, it's a relay and some sort of cap or resistor I imagine. I just wonder if any of the electronic gurus might know??

you put the washers where the crossmember endlink connects to the frame, do you need to support the tbar cross member when you do this?

what about some sort of rubber shims on the cross member, will this work?

I put on some monroe sensa tracs.... I don't think it is the shocks, it used to do it before I changed them, but it was not as loud or as often...

I would say is is more of a THUD sound like something binds up and "POPS" on 3/4 left hand turns........it happens everytime I drive it.

Where is everyone on this issue still? Any fixes that seam to work well? Mine just started doing it when I replaced the front shocks. It only happens when making left turns, never on right turns for some reason..... Some of you have mentioned it is the tbar cross member that runs width wise hitting ...

Looking good henryj... One quicky thing, did you add a reinforcement bracket to the inside of the fender or the tailgate? I have a 99 2 door blazer with the stock tire on the back, and with time it will dent the panel and tailgate.... It was getting so bad I took the whole carrier off and put the ti...

thanks for the explanation Henry J...

I have a 4x4 blazer and was looking at getting 1.25''or 1.5'' spacers.....

I know this is dumb, but will spacers make it handle any better being wider?

thanks

1.do spacers in any way shape or form cause more wear and tear?

2. by adding spacers, will this make your truck handle a little better due to a wider width track of the tires?

Autozone used to have colored bulbs in all the popular sizes. Red blue grean etc.. The small ones lasted fine, the bigger ones had the red burn off on the middle part of the bulb, but that was my fault leaving the door open for hours on end with NO dome override (it was a buick regal, not a s10)

Eric, wow, thanks for the extended searching... Those are things I could not find (besides the 12 volt). Anyway, the site where I got the photo and digram were from http://www.webelectricproducts.com/ click on dome light dimmer on left hand side and then I think outs since negative switched is the D...

But wouldn't you need a cap for each light then? Plus caps are big, the thing in the photo is small... It just seams like a relay or something because it uses two grounds, ignition 12v, and constant 12v and you only need one of them...... Any guru out there who can shed some light?

Ok, well we know that s10's have negative door triggers, so we can't just resist a ground as that would not work

I think the diagram I posted above probably is a type of timed relay with a resisitor or something. Just going by the fact is has 4 wires.

Anybody have any other ideas? HenryJ?

When all of you guys say "hot feet", does the hot air only flow out the bottom floor vents, or teh dash vents too....

On my 99, I have tons of hot air blowing out the dash vents when when the control knob is in the OFF position....... We are talking about the same thing right?

Sounds good..... I will be doing this on this weekend.... Also, about the DRL disabling, I found this for adding a swtich, I noticed you mentioned hearing about the relay under the dash, again a yellow wire. As this guy did, I'm looking to put in a little switch to intertupt this wire and choose whe...

Ok, then by adding the relay as shown in the pic you posted before, that will give QUAD lights, but only the DRL high beams will be on normally in the day time and not all 4 lights as DRL correct?

Are you sure there are two yellow wires? Not one yellow and one yellow w/black stripe? Disabling the DRL is a whole different operation. I've heard rumors of cutting a wire under the driverside carpet, or bending the ear over on the DRL relay. I haven't done that though. If you do get your DRL disa...

I have the high beam DRL, I took the driver's side head light out, and where is this yellow wire? I see two yellow wires going to the low beam harness bulb socket (none on the high beam side).........what one is it? Is it one main yellow wire farther back, or just one of the smaller yelloewones? Ok, I know this thread is a little old, but hopefully somebody will reply since I'm new.... :D Anyway, from what I have read on this wonderfull site, basically for the QUAD light mod, and if HAVE HIGH beam DRL, you must use a relay correct? I have high beam drl, and I noticed on the low beam harness...
