There's approximately 1,000,000 in the Louisville Metro area, and I've only seen 3 other ZR5's in the last 4 months. I know they weren't terribly popular. Probably 10 Crew's total in that time. Where did you get that number, I find it hard to believe... I live in Florida, and I see one occasionally.

Third brake light lense

I bought a cheap third tail light lense for my 2003 crew cab, it never fit good and has faded already. Looked for a complete led to replace the 3rd light assy. but those I found did not fit the crew cab, so I assume it is different. Anyone bought one of quality that fits?

This was the final straw why I traded mine off. Already had new tires and brakes all around and very low miles on 2nd tranny rebuild. Was told 2500.00 to replace core. Inquired of replacing evap core while in there and told it came out from the other side involving removal of hood and RH fender for...

The trials and tribulations of a cc owner

Decided to install my new Sony head unit today. I had noticed a hairline crack in the cluster trim panel and a few missing screws which told me someone had taken it off before. So after removing the remaining screws and the wiring disconnects I carefully lifted the trim out and over the steering col...

I have a set of rear Bilstein 4600 shocks off a 2000 2wd S10 Blazer. The Bilstein chart shows them fitting my 2003 4wd S10 crew cab, but some other charts differ. Can anyone confirm their fit?

Re: Fia seat covers

This being my first S10 crew cab I have become familiar with the differences. The rear seat must be different from any other to not rate a seat cover. Fortunately, the rear seat is in good condition so I order the fronts OE charcoal to match the rear.

I was looking at Fia OE front seat covers at Realtruck in charcoal, I didn't see a rear seat cover listed so I ask. It seems the rear isn't available in OE or Leatherette. Fortunately, my rear seat cover is in good shape it's the front ones that are showing some wear. Only front covers, what's up wi...

Re: Air Condition ?

Thanks for your reply. Looks like it doesn't apply to the S10 crew cabs. June, July, and August are muggy hot in Citrus county Fla. the humidity is a killer. I generally start out on max cool and then to normal because it lowers the noise level and I like my music.

I was driving the other day and heard the dreaded metal to metal grind that brakes make. Checked the front and the pads looked almost new, so I checked the rear. Looks as if someone had bent the warning tab back. The truck is a one owner with no record of an accident and was well maintained. Anyway,...

The ZR2 rear will be hard to find and expensive and isn't necessary unless you intend to do some severe off roading, in which case you will also need to reinforce your frame. Do some online research on the different types of units available, they all have pros and cons.

Anyone replaced their seat covers? I have black (not the covers with a nap) cloth type covers and was thinking of using a black with charcoal insert. I've looked at some online and in the pictures they look like ill fitting slip-ons. If you could recommend a brand and have pics I'd appreciate it.

What cured me of buying cheap tires was the crappy ride, I didn't expect a lot of mileage out of them. Had a cheap set on my wife's Merc and replaced them with Michelins. You'll know in about 10,000 miles how the Hankooks are working out please keep us posted on how they worked out for you.

I'm switched to 5-30 synthetic on my 2003 cc and my wife's 2003 Merc Marque. I changed my own oil (heard to many horror stories about oil change stations) and filter every 5000 miles and now with synthetic every 10,000 miles so it pays for itself.
