Can't say I've had that experience with the blizzaks. 2nd winter and planets of life left. Think I've put about 15k miles and going strong. I don't do keep them on during summer temps. as a side note - i did NOT go with the cheapest tires i could buy. i put Hankook dynapro ATM's, which are - price point wise - only a few dollars from the Michelin LTX and cooper discoverys were based on the rebates that were available at the time. i should have been more specific. ive got ~15 or 16...

i havent had them long enough to give a longevity report as a daily driver, but damn do they grab on crappy roads.

i put the synthetic in at about 152k, found all the leaks by 160 or so and had them patched @ 165k. i'm at 191,600 right now and nary a drip and not burning any. when i pull the oil at 6k interval the dipstick is right where she started when i put the oil in new. its a beautiful thing. still getting...

i guess i should have said amplified antenna, its not a power up/down type antenna. the guy i spoke with at crutchfield said most/all gm's use them. its not a buzzing noise. its a signal loss issue - i get static, or the signal fades in/out like you're right on the edge of a stations broadcast range...

i'll have to grab the spare out of his old dime next time i'm up north. hell it might even be still good - its never seen concrete IIRC - and since it was mounted inside the vehicle, it might not even be dry rotted. honestly, if the wheel works, putting a new peice of rubber on it will be minor.

with my other car, as much as i drive i was getting about 6-8 months out of a set of sylvania's. not uncommon to replace 2, or sometimes even 3 sets in a year.

if i have to replace them at 2 years - i'll happily do so and not complain one bit!

i was nervous about buying fan cooled units too, but these come with a 2yr warranty - better than what sylvania puts on its lamps. so if they die, meh. i'll just warrant replace with a new set.

so then i *should* have 12v there as well eh? my test at the harness connector was on the ground wire and the running lights as mentioned. ill have to do some more testing tomorrow and check the T in the harness where the feed to the topper connects to and then work my way forward. the battery is re...

ya.. but how low will a 5 or 6" sub in a bazooka go? 60 Hz? maybe 50? i'm not looking for enough system to blow door seals (been there done that with my last box with a pair of vega vega 124's).... but i'd like to at least be able to get somewhere into the 30's. i know i need to be into a 12 to real...

so with some google time and a couple phone calls to places selling it - apparently this box will fit back there if i remove the stupid scissor jack and mounting brackets and put it in that location! i dont see how a bazooka tube would fit behind the seat - thats a pretty tight space there between the rear bulkhead and the back seat.
