Been setting this code lately. I go through about 4-5 cycles and it goes away, then 4-5 cycles later it comes back. Any ideas? I changed my fuel pump out back in May after the truck stranded me on a Sunday (autozone). I have since swapped out with another new pump, but still get the MIL light.

I just noticed that you might just need to reverse the brackets, the flat side should be what mounts to the frame in place of the tow hooks.

You need to fab up some new brackets using some thick angle iron. The top bolts up to the two bolts on top of the bumper, using some flat strap looking brackets. You will need to remove the grill. I have shed the light you are looking for. You're wanting a miracle and there is none except for the cut. You WILL NOT find anything that fits without cutting the bracket off, unless it's OEM. I have done it, and it's nothing. Just a piece of plastic you cut with some snips.

I don't really know if this might be it, but if I keep my AC at the #1 setting, the compressor cycles on and off constantly, and it usually causes a chirp as the clutch engages.

Another weak link in the chain is the rubber seal on the gas cap itself. I set a code way back when, and after tightening everything it would still set. Got a new seal put on and voila, it was gone.

You will have to cut the rear mounting bracket inside the dash regardless of which aftermarket you go with, or which opening you have. The stock radios are super short.
