Been setting this code lately. I go through about 4-5 cycles and it goes away, then 4-5 cycles later it comes back. Any ideas? I changed my fuel pump out back in May after the truck stranded me on a Sunday (autozone). I have since swapped out with another new pump, but still get the MIL light.

You need to fab up some new brackets using some thick angle iron. The top bolts up to the two bolts on top of the bumper, using some flat strap looking brackets. You will need to remove the grill. I average just under 21 mpg doing the 45 miles between Roswell and Artesia NM daily each way at about 75-80mph. Don't ask me how, I'm running 86 octane, 30 inch tires, 3.42 gears, and I have 120,000 miles on the clock.

Thanks for the link. This will be the first brake service on the truck, although not my first. I have done plenty of brakes, just wanted to make sure I ordered the correct OEM brakes. I usually get my stuff from AutoZone or PepBoys, but like I said, I want to use ACDelco stuff.

Anyone know the part no. for the palstic clips that hold the inner rod of the lock mechanism to the door handle? I think mine is broke as I cannot open the Left rear door from the outside. I've been using it every few fillups and it seems to work when I do. As far as mileage goes, never noticed an increase until I got to Roswell and started using 86 octane fuel.

I have shed the light you are looking for. You're wanting a miracle and there is none except for the cut. You WILL NOT find anything that fits without cutting the bracket off, unless it's OEM. I have done it, and it's nothing. Just a piece of plastic you cut with some snips.

I don't really know if this might be it, but if I keep my AC at the #1 setting, the compressor cycles on and off constantly, and it usually causes a chirp as the clutch engages.

Another weak link in the chain is the rubber seal on the gas cap itself. I set a code way back when, and after tightening everything it would still set. Got a new seal put on and voila, it was gone.

If you look at the little print closely enough (crutchfield site) it list a modifcation is needed ie. cutting the rear support bracket off. You will have to cut the rear mounting bracket inside the dash regardless of which aftermarket you go with, or which opening you have. The stock radios are super short.
