Re: Cab mounts on frame starting to rust
Finally got around to replacing these cab mounts. I ended up finding a 4X4 Blazer at the junk yard and cutting a pair of cab mounts from it. After cutting the old mounts off of my truck, I realized they were in worse shape than I originally thought. They appear to rust out on top of the mount, aroun...

Re: Measurements for Boise Springworks Kit?
Thanks for the info Brule! I found that article, however the one I was looking for had actual dimensions and hole position of each leaf listed. upon further investigation, I realized that I found the info on Pirate4X4.com. I was thinking the article was here because it was written by our very own St...

Measurements for Boise Springworks Kit?
Hey Gang, I have a very capable spring shop in my area and would like to look into having them fab a rear lift spring set up like the BSW kit. A while back I found a post somewhere that had the dimensions of each of the leaves in the BSW spring pack, and thought I book marked it, but now I cant seem...

Hey stallzero, where are you located in VA? We got 17" during the first snow a little over a month ago. I was very happy with the performance of my crew in the snow as well.

Re: Cab mounts on frame starting to rust
Henry J - I will definitely keep everyone posted on my finds and end solution. Stucky - I looked at the outrigger mounts you referenced, but unfortunately they wont do the trick. Thank you for the info nonetheless! :thumb: ApproachMedium - I went back to the upfitter's manual after reading your post...

Re: Cab mounts on frame starting to rust
Good idea. For the life of me I couldn't remember what that manual was called. Just finished looking through the Upfitter's Manual; didn't find anything definitive, however, the cab mounts from a 4-door Blazer 4X4 may be a possibility. Looks like a trip to the junk yard is in order. Thanks for...

Cab mounts on frame starting to rust
Hey Gang, I was under my crew checking my torsion bar mount bushings and noticed that the two rearmost cab mount brackets on the frame have started to rust pretty bad. The one on the drivers side is worse than the passenger side. They appear to still be intact, but I want to go ahead and replace the...

Will PA3 Center Caps Fit ZR5 Wheels?
I recently acquired a very nice set of ZR5 wheels (Thanks again JC!!!!), and I am exploring my options for center caps. I don't like the stock ZR5 caps, so I was looking at the Camaro SS / SLP caps. I then realized that they wouldnt' fit the front wheels because of the distance that the half shafts ...

Re: Any Other Mods Needed When Cranking T Bars to Max Z Heig
JC,
What did you use to hold the boots on, regular hose clamps?
Might be worth doing just to prevent a boot failure and subsequent CV destruction. Once a little grit gets in those CV's they are done.

Re: Any Other Mods Needed When Cranking T Bars to Max Z Heig
That certainly sounds reasonable. I was thinking that a ball joint flip would help free up a bit of adjustment since the UCA's would be maxed out, but I'm not sure I'm totally sold on the BJ flip. Seems to me that it could cause problems on the other end, letting the UCA's droop more before hitting ...

Any Other Mods Needed When Cranking T Bars to Max Z Height?
I fielded this question over at s10forum.com. As you can imagine, not a whole lot of useful feedback was received: Just wondering if I will need aftermarket UCA's or an upper ball joint flip to get my front end to realign back to spec after cranking the torsion bars up 1.5". I've seen a few S-10's i...

Built2Bend,
Thanks for the heads up. You were first to show interest, so you should get first crack at 'em. However, if you are sure you are going to pass, I will definitely pick them up.
Thanks again,
Rob

I forgot to mention.... I am ok with either FedEx shipping or Fastenal freight, whichever is more convenient on your end. I have both a FedEx store and a Fastenal store nearby. I can get you store location codes to figure shipping if need be.

Jedthrocornpone,
Sorry I have been out of the loop on this. I will take the wheels if they are still available, and Built2Bend doesn't want them. If they are available, I will send payment as soon as you let me know a total price.
Thanks,
Rob

Awesome, thank you sir! Not bad for the Fedex location quote.
Does DHL service your area? I have shipped with them before and their quotes were always lower than the other major carriers.

Thought I would take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Rob, and I am from Chesterfield VA. I have been hanging around here for close to a year since picking up an '02 Sonoma Crew. Jedthrocornpone- If you wouldn't mind packing one of the wheels up and sending me the weight, dimensions and your zip code, I will get a shipping quote. That is if the wheels are still available. I've been looking for a set of ZR5's since I bought my Sonoma crew almost a year ago. Most of the wheels...

Re: DRL Disable on an "02"
It is in the fuse/relay box on the drivers side of the engine compartment. It is in fact a relay, however I don't recall off the top of my head which one it is. A quick look in your owners manual will tell you which one it is. Pull the relay, un-snap and remove the cover off of the relay, and locate...
