Have you checked out the website ? http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/images/baja_belted.gif A is the tread design? Not too bad looking. They are directional? You will only be able to rotate front to rear without dismounting, but that's not too big a deal. How much lift do you have? What is the BS (...

IMO, " Blacking out" is done to hide what otherwise would "stick out" That is if it does not have a contrast next to it. I think that the trucks with flares and rocker panels painted black look pretty good. However, the paint matched flares on the Sonoma's and Highriders definately look great. My tr...

Thought I'd revive this thread. An aquaintance of mine did a mod that really looks factory stock "muscle car". He drives a newer Ford "SporTrac". He cut a hole in the hood and added a "shaker" hood scoop to the top of the engine. The scoop and about two-thirds of the hood are painted flat black. I'm...

The wonderful world of the high mountian desert.Temps regularly vary 50-60 degrees from high to low ,during the day. I was thinking abo...

Gauge pod

I've been thinking that with this years tax refund ( I hope) I might add a fuel guage for the aux. fuel tank. I came across this guage pod: http://www.autometer.com/hp/2003_catalog/gaugeworks/gaugeworks_art/steering_column_bezel_s.jpg It is an "Autometer / Gauge works" Steering column pod. Any body ...

Well , I decided to try one myself. I bought the Helix . It took about 30 min. to install , including cleaning up the threads on the supplied studs. It did raise the intake tube to a better position. So far no real noticable gains. It will be a while before I can see if there is any improvement in m...

If you leave the pink stuff in too long, it will eat the gaskets. Had to replace every single coolant gasket in my 96 Silverado($1500) I know what you mean! We have five Chevys and two Dodges that ran the Dex-cool in our fleet. I have only two left running the pink stuff, and one of those has to be...
