Heater Squeal
Hello, I live in Ontario where the climate is very cold in the winter. The one thing I love about my Crew is its amazing heater and effective heated seats. For a few weeks now, when I start my truck on a cold morning and turn my heater to the 3 and 4 fan settings I have a terrible squealing noice fo...

Re: Antifreeze leak
No just coolant picked up at the local gas station. So if this is the case, how big on a job is it to change the intake manifold gasket, and what are my torque specs for the intake manifold itself? Thanks for the response

Antifreeze leak = intake manifold gasket
My 2002 crew just started leaking coolant. It's not coming from the rad or top heater lines. When i look underneath the front of the motor is dry. The back (closer to the drivers side if the firewall is wet and te leak is dripping to the ground around the firewall as well. My oil is clear of antifre...

Re: replaced metal and rubber front drivers brake line
what is a bench bleed? Is this just disconnecting the lines off the master cylinder one by one and bleeding them while pushing the pedal? Thank you so much for your help

Re: replaced metal and rubber front drivers brake line
When I took off the line to the master cylinder, I wasn't getting fluid running out of the master cylinder...does this mean I will have air in it? The reservoir was lower than the min line. As well, I did a 2 person bleed.

replaced metal and rubber front drivers brake line
Hello, looking for some info, I have just replaced my front drivers rubber brake line and also the metal line that leads to the master cylinder. I bled the line at the caliper extensively while topping up my fluid. I am left with extremely poor performing brakes. All pads and rotors are brand new an...

How do u lift front end with the torsion bars
Can anyone give me a brief description on how to raise my front end using the torsion bars? Do I need an alignment if I do this, and how much height will I get? Thanks

Re: Wheel bearing #4
jack the front tire into the air, spin the tire and wiggle it back and forth. You will hear a grinding when turning and may have some lateral movement when shaking the tire grabbing the top and the bottom of the tire. I have replaced 3 so far. One lasted less than 5000 k. Make sure u torque the bear...

Re: Took out blocked pre-cat and welded in pipe, poor perfor
Thanks for your responses, ya turns out it was the main cat as well, replaced that at a muffler shop and they didn't require me to put in a new Y pipe and pre cat thank god. Runs like a dream now, forgot the power that I once had.
Thanks again

Blocked precat and cat, poor performance *solved
I recently cut out my blocked pre-cat and temporarily clamped a flexible exhaust pipe in place of it. It was leaking pretty bad, so today a muffler shop welded a piece of pipe in place. It is very quiet but is running like it was before with a plugged pre-cat. Does it take time for the computer to l...

Re: MAP SENSOR REPLACEMENT AND STILL EXTREMELY SLUGGISH
Well, I would like to thank u again. I pulled the O2 sensor, it ran remarkably better, cut out the pre-cat and it was incredibly destroyed inside. Never seen anything like it. Ran a straight pipe and took it for a test drive. It was performing very poorly at first, not shifting from 2nd to 3rd and 3...

Re: MAP SENSOR REPLACEMENT AND STILL EXTREMELY SLUGGISH
We have no emission testing where I live, Thunder Bay, On. so this is not a worry, as well, I have no plans to sell the vehicle, so I am not worried about inspection upon change of ownership.

speedometer is stuck wide open
I am in the process of working on the truck and i went to start it up and noticed that the speedometer is stuck all the way to the top. It stays there running, off, and I've pulled fuses and replaced them. Can't seem to figure this one out!

MAP SENSOR REPLACEMENT AND STILL EXTREMELY SLUGGISH
I have a 2002 4.3, my truck started to gradually lose acceleration over the coarse of a week, to the point I could only get up to 30km. My computor gave me P0101 code only. I cleaned map sensor, didn't change, replaced map sensor with a new one, didn't change. In park I can only get 2500rpm, then it...
