yep, all wrenches and scredrivers and misc elec stuff in a 20" portable tool box, and my socket set is in it's own plastic carrier that it came with. the toolbox part is annoying, but not having a garage, it's all I've got.

check the exhaust manifold gaskets, or collector donuts gasket. When these first develop a small leak they tick tick tick away until the hole gets bigger.

Interesting. What are the splice packs for? Con Generally they are just a point where grounds join for a common ground, or wires get split from 1 into two or three wires and continue on. There arent any connections that can be made to these, they are just for ease of instalation by the factory.

As far as I know there was never a long bed offered with the ext cab. The beds of the ext cab are about 1.5' shorter than the reg cab long beds.

My trucks days are numbered too, after the intake manifold started sucking air and leaking and $780 to fix it, I am trading it on a used jeep or vw golf tdi once my fiance decides on which one she wants as i like both vehicles. yes, the front axle or transfer case disengages once in a while and the horrible grinding noise happens. The frame isn't wider, the track width is wider, I think the centre rod is the same length. Easiest way to know would be to ask one of the members at zr2.com to measure from grease poin to grease point.

ever thought of putting a sterring wheel on from a blazer or another chev/gm with radio controls on the wheel? just rub the lettering off of the buttons and hook them up to what ever you want. should be a dark blue with white stripe wire coming off the back of the switch.

I would just splice into the wire for the foot well lighting though, much easier to do, and there are only two wires going to it. either one should work. if you don't fell like probing them.

The holes are on the outside of each bearing cap. If you were to imagine a centerline that runs horizontal through the rear end then you would see the 2 holes I'm talking about. in most accidents I have seen with chevy's and trailers (6 or so) the eyelets have torn off due to the weight of the trailer on them when the hitch ball shears off, so I wouldn't trust them anyway.

I had a problem with mine at 10,000km's. The engine would rev to about 2500 and then the transmission would grab. They couldn't figure out what it was, they replaced the valve body and various other parts. That didn't work, they ended up replacing the entire thing, housing and all which is very rare...

That's odd, because my front doors have handles exactly like the one in the back seat of a blazer, did they change the front handles in the crews?

My 2000 ext cab 4x4 came with a temp spare too, I felt ripped off, but they are the same diameter/height as your stock tires. Just remember to always put the spare on the front even if it means moving a good front to the back in the event of a flat. The locker in the back will start to eat itself up...

Yes the options onthe tech 2 are limited to those spec's as above of 245-275 because of the software it uses for each specific truck as it reads the vin and loads the specific options that are availbale for that truck.
