alternator

Just all of sudden it did this so I was alittle taken aback when all the warning lights started flashing!!!!!

Got a real weird problem....Yesterday morning started truck up as I do every morning and all the dash warning lights start blinking. Changed my fuel pump 7 months ago now the fuel gauge is dead and my low fuel light stays on. Any way to turn it off with out dropping the tank again and changing the float switch??

troubleshooting

Thanks, I checked those already all good, swapped AC relay with pump relay no change....got spark, fuel in the tank, turns over strong (battery), anything I missed?
Trying to do everything before having to drop the tank......

Anyone heard of Hyper Cool? It's suppose to be a better coolant than the Dex Cool that we have from the factory.. Good or Bad???

I disconnected the battery for over a half hour, checked all the vac lines but still nothing lites up on the switch. When I was driving home from work later that day the lites came on but very weak since I was on the freeway I couldn't try engaging it in 4wd. Pulled off to get gas and try the 4 x 4....

Yes I did check the fuses and if there any loose or bad vac. lines, none found....I also have a vac gauge and it really doesn't show any loss of vac.

You guys are great, lots of helpful hints and advice. I'll have some work to do on my next day off. I think my truck may still be under warrantee, it's a 03' but I only have 19K miles so if it's the TCCM module that would help. I called the dealer just to see the cost, 360.00, yikes!!!! You guys are great!!!! Prior to reading all this helpful info I called the local dealer and priced a TCCM module!!! Yikes!!!! 360.00 and change...He recommended I bring the truck down since electrical parts are non refundable and this may not be the problem..... I will try your diagnostic proceedurs...

I put a 1999 Powerdyne on my 03. A few minor adaptions..Powerdyne now sells one for 03 but it's not shown on their website. I believe it's #10528. The 01-02's come with headers, egr stuff...not needed for an 03.

On my 03 it took about 4-5 hrs to install the Powerdyne. another 30 min. changing plugs, not real difficult. Just a tight fit I would say... Power wise it's an increase, not break your neck speed but not bad.. I've since added MSD6BTM, wires, LS1 edit and exhaust which I believe helps alot... The go...

I have a Zirgo 3025 CFM 16", like I said it surely cooled it even in traffic. I guess the engineers knew how to design a clutch fan cause in traffic it's still cool on the ac, oh well. Maybe 2 fans are needed???

Actually the truck never went over the temp that I had it set, 190 but it's just that it didn't seem like it could pull enough air through the AC condenser. The AC got warm and then when the traffic moved it got cool again. But the Fan did cool the engine...

I really don't have an cooling problems I was just looking at a performance issue. Maybe a lighter fan, less work on the motor etc..

Flash

Just wondering where's best/reasonable place for a flash? I have an 03' with Powerdyne 9lb, msd6btm, flowmaster, 190 stat . Only place I know is Bill at Mach, a little $$$$$... Anyone one know of others??

Good luck to you!! My wife became a nurse after years of being out of school...EMT's are always needed so I think you'll be fine.

I didn't think getting a larger Y pipe would necessary mean getting rid of the pre cat. I don't believe the SLP Y pipe for the earilier models get rid of the pre cat, basically it replace the exsisting stock Y, just a larger size and even flow bends that bolts up to the exsisting collector...
