Beginning of summer I have changed from Dexcrap to Green and and during the hot days the Blazer was running cooler than with the DEX !!!!! . I was not having déposit in the radiator because I was changing the Dexcool evety 2 years and a half for security and comparing the price of Dexcool in France ...

Even if you have been thinking as a "Crewcab man" you have indicated the right way ! :thumb: I think that the failure of the valve hapened after the change of the transfert case motor because just after the change , the lights were solid again after 2 or 3 flashs and the surprise of the new failure ...

Problem has been solved last week . As suggested by Henry J, we have at first changed the transfertcase motor. It has fixed the trouble but one day after, testing the 4x4 system again .................lights only flashing on the 4x4 positions......... We have determine that it was the solenoïd valve...

Oops, worng reference there I guess. They work pretty much the same as our auto headlamps. The light sensor activates a relay that dims the headlamps when an oncoming car illuminates it. On this european version it does not have the auto dimming connected ; there is a small red sensor on the middle of the dash but the BCM is not programmed . same for the day running lights . This system is very popular in France and one of my sons use it in an AUDI and is satisfied ; but it indicate only the powertrain DTC, nothing about gearbox , brakes or ACC codes .

The last ball joints I bought were XRF. Too early to tell how they hold up but I like the boot much better than the moog. http://www.xrfchassis.com/parts-balljoints.htm James After looking at the proforged website, they may actually be the same ball joint. The XRF also claim a million mile warranty...

The stock Avalanche is authorized even if it is not distributed in France . If I import ( including from another european country) a stock one I will have to obtain from a specific administration and after tests (millage , sound , braking etc ), and control for conformity with the legal requirements...
