Yeah, I guess I wasn't very clear. The driveshaft spins while in 2wd, but the transfer case does disengage. Only the back wheels spin.

I can be laid on pretty thick. .250" would be as good as it gets though. I am not sure what the best repair or answer might be. Don't put it under stress if you think it is a weak spot. Haha, I just removed my sonoma emblem 3 hours ago. I used a rubber spatula and a 'wax and tar remover' of some sort. Worked pretty good. Then I just polished it up, and you can't even tell they were there.
