Does anybody know the Oring size for the radiator end of the

engine oil cooler lines. I have some seeping after a radiator swap and sure would like to pick up some Viton orings the correct size before I take it apart.

I had a 1984 2wd S10 and only fed it brakes, hoses, belts, exhaust and radiators. I am sure it will be fine with no Oring

Like I said the diameter of the hub where the oring would have went was a good .030 smaller. I tried the oring in there BUT it did not seal anything and just flopped around loose in the space. Every other car I have helped change a bearing hub on had no seal there.

Replaced left hub as sound got louder on right turns and that shifted wieght to the left front. I used the above hub Steve posted. 13lb slide hammer I used

Heat wave here today 33F out so .....

Tore down the left front and used a 13lb slide hammer attached to lugs tugged the hub right out.

Still no UPS tracking status .....I bet once the tempature drops to arctic ranges the UPS delivery will be here :( :D

OK but which side ???

truck only has 60K city miles never goes off road. Has anybody used these bearings???

Is there a rule of thumb if it howls turning in a direction to point to which side is bad??

NAPA has a NEW Axle for $114

and I found a shop that will install it for $85...sounds like a job I will pay for. For that much its not worth my time to do it.

reminds of he Harley oil selection threads

went thru this before on the great harley versus syn oil debates about ten years ago. Harley condemed syn oils as unsuitable...I selected Castrol Syntec 20W50...recently I noticed that Castrol touts their 20W50 Syntec as having the higher levels of ZDDP that they recommend it for classic muscle cars...

SO what is the GM stuff??

Synthetic or Mineral??? Whats it say on the bottle??? Royal Purples Techline said theirs would work...but who knows the knowledge level of their techs?? Interrestingly their GL-5 is also backward compatable with GL-4 and will not harm copper alloys like most GL-5s...per them I have the rear end open...

James thanx it was chaffing so.....

While you have the tank off, check this line going to the rear evap vent valve (or whatever that black box is called). Delphi lists 2 numbers FG0248 and FG0070 for the module which one is more robust? This will be 3rd pump in truck and its only at 55K

Anybody put in anaftermarket pump into the carrier with good results?

I see many Ebay repair kits and there is the possible Walbro pump
